My father and I had a very bad experience with the receptionist, she was shouting at us - and she threatened to call the police.... but all in all very bad service on hotel. The employees are not very service minded. But a nice boat - and two very nice waiters

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel upon arrival. Basic English spoken at the reception and a clean and warm room. Went to reception to organise a taxi it arrived within 15 mins went to the city.

We can't rate this hotel as when we arrived they said our room had a problem with the water and they were moving us to the botel Vodnic. This was on the other side of the river. It was clean but the bar had no beer! Breakfast was good and the facilities in the room were good apart from no curtains so the sun was on you from 5.30 and there were no drinks in the room. If we'd realised that either Botel was so far from the centre of Prague we wouldn't have stayed there. It was 10 mins by tram but 1/2 hour by foot. The rating I have done above is for the Botel Vodnic but I don't know if that is one of yours. Ian and Wendy Randall

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Botel, although a distance from the centre it was easily accessible by tram.

really friendly botel, staff all very helpfull. Dont leave any loose change in your rooms as the cleaners will have off with things like that. Food in the resturant is great in the evenings, really tasty and filling. The drinks at breakfast though are an experience in themselves (bring your own) and id would agree that there is a sweet tabacco smell everywhere (most strange). Overall a fantastic place i would love to visit again and cant to.

I regret I cannot give an opinion about Racek as we were told when we arrived that there was no room for us. The above ratings refer to the City-Club Hotel and not to Racek. We were then sent to another hotel in Prague - City-Club Hotel - on Sokolska which was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but adequate. It was spoiled by the fact that it was very noisy at night with people coming in at all hours and singing, slamming doors, etc. Phones would go off in the middle of the night and there would be no one there. Also it was not on a main tram route. It was quite a long walk to the nearest tram/Metro stop (I.P. Pavlova) for two elderly ladies of 60 and 80 years old respectively, one of whom has mobility problems. All in all it was very disappointing as we had looked forward to staying on the river.

Ripped off on 1st night (1300 kn for overcooked stroganoff, one soup, abottle of wine) and 42 for beer (town price 28 to 38) and didn't use their restaurant again!! certainly only a 1 star hotel not a 3 star!

Very noisy hotel while drunk youngsters ran up and down with alcoholic beverages throughout the night. No such thing as non smoking rooms.

Very helpful desk staff, and all staff friendly. Quiet, well placed for trams to centre and good river views.

For the price a super hotel! Close to town by tram, 24 hours a day/night.

Had a delayed flight going to Prague and contacted the hotel of the delay (we were arriving at 1am on a Saturday morning). Extremely unimpressed that the hotel told us on the phone that they had actually overbooked and were sending us to another hotel (further out from where they were). We even had problems with the new hotel they had sent us to.

You get what you pay for. An acceptable hotel at a moderate price, situated away from the buzzing streetlife of the towncenter. We have stayed here three times in a year and are fully willing to come back. Breakfast a little meager, but restaurant quite OK.
