Location great, just off the Jewish Quarter and 10 mins from Charles Bridge etc. Bathroom could do with a spruce up but overall not bad. Excellent value for money. Breakfast consists of meats, cheese, bread, jams and cereals. Don't even think about trying the tea, is dreadful. Nice bar with bar meals up to 11.00. Lovely quite location. I would recommend staying there.

If you are going to stay in this hotel, insist you stay in river side room. We stayed on the other side of boat and there was little noise from traffic.

Room is really small, but romantic location over the river is a plus.

Being a Botel the rooms are tiny , though it is pleasantly located on the river. However, the desk clerk was the first positively rude receptionist we encountered in the Czech Republic.

When we arrived the manager greeted us with the news that 10 rooms had been damaged by heavy rain during the week and the electrics were not working. Unfortunately our room was unavailable but he had arranged for us to stay at a much better hotel close to the castle. Within ten minutes a taxi whisked us away to a 4* hotel with every facility imaginable, close to the castle, with excellent views. When I checked on the internet it would have cost double what we paid to stay at the replacement hotel. Good old Albatros.

The check in, restaurant, bar and public areas were very clean and had all the facilities that anyone would need. The breakfast was fine, fresh fruit was not available. The rooms were tired and in need of renovation. They were clean. There were no in room facilities other than a TV and complementary soap. Beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful.

Walking distance to all the sights in the centre and a perfectly decent hotel. Reception staff were not all that friendly. Do not expect pristine facilities - no jacuzzis here - but given the accommodation prices in Prague I would say this is an excellent deal! Would stay there again and recommend to others.

My wife and l stayed at the Albatros Botel in April 2007 over the Easter holiday. The boat looks better from the inside than the first impression when you arrive. Breakfast was rather basic and quite poor, no provision to make toast, totally cold breakfast apart from tea and coffee. The cabins are basic, but adequate, the bathrooms are quite cosy though! We found the beds quite uncomfortable with only thin duvet's. Cabin was generally warm enough for all but one night. We found it ideally located with a less than 10minute walk to the Old Town Square!

The Botel is in a grat spot, 10 mins walk from Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. You get what you pay for, its cheap but confortable. However, we stayed 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned once - no clean towels and the toilet paper ran out.

Nice place, bit basic and facilities were not great but good clean rooms in a good location at a great price. Would go again.

Would have been nice to have had facilities for making hot drink in room. Breakfast not that great so would have been good to have been able to have cup of tea in room.

Main feature was much cheaper than other hotels but it turned out to be good fun staying on a boat. It's about 5 minutes walk from tram stop (nos. 5,8,14) and 10 minutes from Republiky metro station. 5-10 minutes to restaurants and bars and 20 minutes walk to Charles Bridge or Wenceslas Square. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good continental breakfast. Minor disadvantages are old-fashioned decor, few TV channels and no coffee-making facitlities in the room. Recommend you request rooms river-side to avoid traffic noise.

Nice staff, quiet at night, best sleep I had on this 10 day 5 country Euro trip in December. We had no problem finding it, and it is walking distance to old town and a nice walk along the river to the Charles bridge. I'll be staying again when back in Prague.
