We arrived on an evening flight in to Porto. The Tuela Hotel Porto was only a night stopover on our way to Lisbon. So our expectations were not high to begin with. This hotel did not have much character, and might fit budget business traveler. However, as a tourist, I was hoping for a little more, even if it was just for one night. I would say the hotel was extremely average.

nice enough place but the desk reception was a bit cold. the bar was pretty sterile too, with one exception - a very cool, interesting / ed bar tender. it was fine, but i think there is better for the money out there.

Very pleasant stay. Good breakfast and kind personnel. Hotel location is perfect as it is in a very modern and spacious section of the city center, which is mostly old and narrow.
