The public areas of the hotel were very good, the rooms were small which admittedly the price reflected. We felt the hotel deserved to have larger rooms.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Porto. Breakfast poor, every day the same stuff. One day no hot water, the telefon did not work, not possible to contact the reception.

Dinky old world hotel, public areas are from another time but very nice, dining room quaint. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location in the heart of the main shopping street and 5 minutes from the Metro to/from airport, 10-15 downhill walk to the river area. WE had a room to the side of the hotel which was quiet but very small. In April there was no need for either heating or air-conditioning but the facility was there. Breakfast was fine. All in all a very good hotel for the price.

"Old style" hotel, it seems to be in an early XIX^ century ambiance. Very weel located, next to subway and cableway (relaxing with a good landscape, and really useful because the hotel stands in the upper part of the city), offers the fascination of Rua de Santa Catarina, one of the most ancient and caracteristic roads of the city. I didn't like the breakfast, too poor in variety and quality.

It is one of the oldest hotel in the city of Porto. The entrance may not be easily found on the busy street as it is kind of narrow, but it is really spacious inside. It is well maintained and suitable for those enjoy the classical atomosphere.

My husband and I booked a double room at this hotel for our honeymoon. We arrived to the hotel where they informed us that they had overbooked rooms and offered re-book us to another hotel. They told us that the second hotel was much better. We accepted their offer but when we arrived to the second hotel, we were totally disappointed. The service was poor, the rooms were totally outdated and for our honeymoon they offered us a twin room rather then a double room. We decided to check out immediatley. This was a negative experience for us and we are very dissatisifed with this Hotel.
