Hotel staff were very helpfull giving excellent information on were to eat etc. rooms a bit dark and in need of decoration also if you have a room above you you can here people walking around etc. A good place to stay for 1/2 days as very close to train station for trips etc. It is just an average hotel do not expect to much a bit pricey but very central.beware of taxis get a map its far cheaper to walk.

The single rooms are very small and not very fancy, but they are clean. However, I had a room on the 5 th floor, and had a great view of the city and the Tower. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was good.

It is a very well located hotel, only a 2 minute walk to the station. The hotel has seen better days and appears a little run down now. The facilities offered are quite extensive and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. On the downside, the bathrooms in the room were only average. The Sat TV channels did not work. (However, in Pisa who wants TV anyways.). Overall, I think it is a little expensive.

Beds are like boards. Unsafe area. Drug dealers and users on front step. Worst I have ever stayed at.

My sister and I stayed here in a room with twin beds for one night, prior to flying back to the U.S. Location is very close to Pisa Centrale train station--two blocks or so. The room was clean but had minimal furnishings--which were just adequate, not great, and had a slightly unpleasant (disinfectant?) smell. However, the breakfast room is large and very pleasant, and the breakfast service was lovely and included hard-boiled eggs and ham and cheese, along with the regular offerings. -- The reception desk was friendly and helpful. They also have a shuttle service to the Pisa airport--free, as I recall, though we tipped the driver.

My friend and I were only in Pisa for a weekend and this was the first time we had stayed in the Hotel La Pace and we were more than satisfied with our choice. The hotel sent a mini bus to pick us up at the airport which was only ten minutes away. I was a little apprehensive as I had read the reviews which mentioned that access was through a seedy alleyway but I didn't find it a problem and it didn't feel at all seedy and we were in and out at all times. The hotel was clean and typically Italian. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our evenings always ended up in the bar which was manned by the same friendly staff and there was always a lovely array of nibbles to go with our drinks. Breakfast was great with loads of different choices. Proximity of the hotel was ideal close to the station and all amenities. The Leaning Tower was an interesting 15 - 10 minute walk away - longer if you decided to stop off at once of the many tempting cafes along the way. If I ever go to Pisa again I would definitely stay at this hotel.

a very poor entrance coming from the station to my opinion you canot offer this hotel as a three stars. room very small and the bathroom scored a world record in space. I could not turn in the shower, it was so small. I could not pick up the fallen peace of soap. on the other hand the breakfast was very could and the waiters very friendly.

Room could of been cleaner, but apart from that a really good hotel. excellent choice at breakfast, really friendly staff. Bar was pleasant and we chose to eat in the hotel as we were tired from travelling. Bar offered excellent choice of finger foods which were free of charge such as sundried tomatoes, olives, artichokes bread etc, which went down very well with a local wine! would stay here again.

Very convenient location if you travel by train. Correct rooms and facilities. Excellent breakfast. Very kind staff:although we were late and the hotel shattle was not available someone met us at the airport with his private car.

Only used a brief stopover but our 4 bedded room turned out to be two seperate rooms behind 1 locked door - far better than we expected. Staff very helpful and curteous

room decoration needs upgrading. good hot and cold breakfast. poor neighbourhood.about 20 min. walk to the duomo.
