The beach was fantastic! The hotel is in a great location. However, beware! This hotel will overbook their rooms and then ask you to move to one of their sister hotels. When we arrived, they gave us a 'beach front' cottage that set separately from the hotel grounds. The room was ok enough but as I looked out the window at the beach, all I could see was trailer hitches for the boats and a man peeing not 20 feet from the door!! We immediately asked to be moved and the hotel staff was very friendly. They at first asked us to switch hotels for one night and then return the next night, but we were not willing to do this, so they ended up up-grading our room. The room we were in was very nice with a great view of both the pools and the beach. There were small sugar ants in the bathroom. Just don't leave any food out in the open or it will be crawling with ants in no time at all. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great value for a beachfront Bangtao Bay resort. Fabulous pools, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Only potential drawback is there are no lifts, so if you are staying in the top floor of the hotel, you'll get plenty of exercise walking up and down the stairs.

We enjoyed a lovely stay in the Garden Villa room, the daily breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed the location right on the beach and also being able to wander along the beach and go to the many little local bars and restaurants. Great place to stay.

I would be happy to return to this location and to this hotel. I hope the recent tragedy did not affect or harm guests or facilities at the Bangtao Beach Resort
