This was a fabulous find on the Internet. A wonderful, quiet little Left Bank hotel very well located for touring around Paris, and on a direct Metro link to Gare du Nord (25 minutes). The staff were really attentive and friendly, breakfast was fresh and the menu varied and the room and bathroom were spotless. The hotel had a quaint, old-fashioned ambience and it made a nice change from the corporate atmosphere of some of the larger hotels. Only (really tiny) comment was that WiFi didn't work in my room, but I guess I shouldn't work on vacation! A definite recommendation to anyone looking to stay in a really pleasant and quiet 4 star hotel in Paris and who wants to get decent value for money.

This would be a 3 star hotel anywhere else but in Paris - don't look else if you want a big room, big bad and hot buffet breakfast, Victoria Palace is best-buy in this category! Many bus and metro stations are few steps away, and a lot of shops such as Zara, Fnac, Footlocker...
