+ I like the room and the location of the hotel, I mean it was near the metro station
Hotel is about 20 minutes on the metro from the Eiffel Tour. But I wouldn't let that put you off because Paris is very spread out and the metro is extremely efficient, reliable, integrated and cheap. However,Read more you'd want to have your wits about you around this neighbourhood because it's not really the nicest area you could stay in.
Rooms stink of smoke and are very very basic. Don't expect phones etc. to work.
The hotel is very basic. Definitely 2star. Don't expect anything more than helpful receptionists, no other services available.
Reception staff are helpful and do speek good english for those of you who didn't learn french.
Paris is a very expensive city. It was price and purely just price which led me to stay in this hotel. Don't pay anything big to stay here.
If your holiday is for sight-seeing etc. and you're looking for reasonable, basic accommodation that's cheap, then this is the hotel for you.
Don't travel to this hotel alone!
+ Close to the metro
- Room at 6th floor (top floor) was very hot, no airco and to open a window too much noice from the street.
I stayed at this hotel in March and seeing as the reviews on here helped me decide which hotel to choose, I thought mine may help someone else.
I'm a very fussy person and was a little worried after readingRead more the horror stories of some of the hotels on here.
However, I found this hotel to be clean (my biggest concern) and even though it's not close to central Paris, it wasn't a bad trip to make everyday.
I only had breakfast there once - i wasn't great but others may disagree.
The staff was courteous and polite and while not over-friendly did a good job of answering my questions and offering suggestions for things I needed.
When I checked out the lady on duty called a taxi for me, as I spoke no french.
Another thing that was important for me to know was whether there was internet access. I found the hotel had a wireless connection available. It wasn't free, as some others have said, but the prices weren't too bad. It was good to have for the evenings after the sightseeing was done as there were no English channels on the TV.
They do have a computer in the Reception area, but its 5 Euro for 15 minutes or something along those lines. Not worth it though, so it helps if you have a laptop.
+ Hotel located in an inexpensive area, near subway. There are a lot of restaurants and small deli shops open till late night.
- Room was small, dirty, noisy and overheated. The only window leaded to anRead more extremely noisy street. Bed was too hard. No toilet paper.Hide
+ very near by a metro station. The size of the room was ok, and it was clean!
- i would just recommend to have an extra toilet paper in the bathroom
For a basic room such as one that we occupied the price of 99E per night was extermely overpriced. However, perhaps the location of the hotel was the best part - just a stone's throw from Avron metro station.Read more I did not like the perfume /air freshner at the hotel. It was strong to the extent that it was nauseating. The room was large enough to hold us and our two luggages. A third one would have to place in the corridor, perhaps. lol. No A/C. Thankfully they had a fan in the room. The bathroom was too small to our liking. However, since we used it more like a night staying lodge, it didnt matter much. Recommended only if you are on a 'budget' trip to Paris.Hide
+ The location is excellent, very close to the metro sation
- the room was a bit small, but no problem
The hotel was a nice and clean place to stay. The bed arrangement was a bit weird with the double bed squashed against a wall but generally there was enough space in the room and the bathroom was cleanRead more and adequate. The breakfast was very fresh and had a huge selection (generally, only on the Monday was it not the full range). The reception staff were very friendly and had no problems speaking english. The location was good although you will need to catch the Metro every day to get to the main sights. The road was a bit noisy and we were on the top floor!!!
