Timhotel Gare du Nord Description
The Timhotel Gare du Nord is set in a traditional 19th-century building, equidistant from the Gard du Nord and Gard de l'Est stations. Offering an excellent location near many restaurants, shops and sites, as well as an inner courtyard and garden, this hotel is an ideal place to stay while in Paris. Its proximity to two of the city's main train terminals makes arrival and departure easier for both business and leisure guests.
The hotel's 76 guestrooms are simply decorated with modern and brightly colored furnishings, and have an ensuite bathroom. All have a direct line phone (free local calls are included) and cable or satellite television. Guests are served breakfast in a room just off the garden of the inner courtyard. There is no on-site restaurant, but several good dining possibilities are nearby.
The hotel is close to four subway lines and provides direct access to the "B" line regional train which goes to Charles de Gaulle airport, the Villepente Exhibition Center, the Stade de France soccer stadium and the Forum des Halles. Visit interesting nearby glass and fan museums, or the 17th-century arched gates of St.Denis and St.Martin. Stroll past the markets and ethnic boutiques on Boulevard de Strasbourg, or down the Canal St.Martin with its bustling cafés.
The Timhotel Gare du Nord hotel is located halfway between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est railway and underground stations, offering the perfect venue for business and leisure travellers alike. The property is extremely well linked by several underground lines to the rest of the city and offers direct access to Roissy airport, Villepinte Exhibition Centre, Stade de France stadium and Halles Forum.

Not a good hotel and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! The double rooms (our party occupied two) are tiny and should be single occupancy. The room tarrif is extremely expensive for what is on offer. The bathroom had wallpaper off the wall and wasn't clean. The bath towel was far too small for a double room. The room was dingy and could do with stronger light bulbs! The room was noisy from the trains. The hotel is in desparate need of renovation. The breakfast is also poor value and limited in choice -- don't bother. The position of the hotel is good, being so close to the Stations and easy walking distance to the centre of Paris. If you can't find anywhere else to stay then needs must, otherwise don't waste your money!

For the price this hotel was perfect. Its proximity to Gare du Nord is the main plus for this hotel.

The bedroom was badly in need of gutting and re-decorating. The leak in the bathroom could have been from the cracked toilet pedestal or the shower, but there was a dead fish smell in there. The location on a cross roads and next to the 20+ railway tracks into the Gare de l'Est made for a noisy night. Double glazed balcony doors helped to reduce the noise when shut but if you like fresh air at night then bring some ear plugs.Otherwise it was cheap and a five minute walk from the stations. Breakfast was OK.

The hotel is great if you are in transit from Gare du Nord or Gare d'este .car parking was away from the hotel in a vinci carpark 22 euro per day It is close to the Indian quarter of Paris . local buses took you into Paris ,passed the L'Opera.breakfast was basic and not many nice places close by to eat .

After reading a lot of the reviews about this property I was a bit concerned about the noise level. We were fortunate to get a room a bit away from the railway lines but could still hear them but not enough to keep us awake. But I could see this could be a rather big problem in the other rooms. Apart from that this is one of the nicer budget places I have stayed in near Gare du Nord. The room was clean, albiet small, and the staff were quite friendly given our late arrival of about 11:30 pm!

Bathroom smelt of the drains. Both the noise of the trains and light from the sign outside kept us awake. Breakfast not included in the price made the experience expensive.

We don't stay in the room much when we travel so the room was a good place to have to come to after sightseeing all day. It was close to the underground station and the train station. The sewer gas about killed us until we plugged the drains at night.

It was disappointing to find that there were no fans in the hotel, though the website indicated that there are. It was a deciding factor to stay at the hotel and it was warm and uncomfortable during summer. The location of the hotel is near Gare du Nord, and it is good to be near, but not good as it was noisy. And we could not close the window to shut out the noise as it was too warm. The service is quite alright though and the neighbourhood is also quite alright, near metro, train station, cafes and park.

Its not as close as I thought from Gare du Nord station to the hotel. Its actually quite far away from the station with about 15 min walking. It might take up to 25 mins as we have luggage with us. Besides, the surrounding is full of Indians which make our stays very unsecure as we're the foreigners. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends who are going to Paris.

I have been twice in Paris and is very difficult to find a good hotel with good quality of service there. When we arraived to this hotel they already gave our rooms to another guests and they sent us to another Timhotel located in other part of the city. In general, I don't recommend this hotel to anybody.
