I sayed for only one night and did not arrive until nearly midnight but they were tolerant and welcoming. They were undergoing refurbishments at the time so I don't know what normal conditions would be like but I thought they did well in the circumstances. One problem is that the lift stops in such a position that it is necessary to climb or descend several (stone) steps to reach the actual floor level. This makes it at best difficult and at worst impossible for anyone with walking difficulties.

Montmartre is a very good location to be in Paris, and the hotel was near Gare Du Nord. I went to see the Rugby World Cup, and this was a very good location to the trip to airport and stadium and to go to pubs.

Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Close to metro station and RER station which runs to other suburbs, airports and Disneyland.

The Prelude Hotel was perfect for our requirements in Paris. It was within walking distance of the Gare Du Nord and Sacre Couer and the entire Montmartre district. Also, the 2 metro stops within walking distance were great for getting us anywhere we wanted to go. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, much preferring the patisserie and boulangerie on the same block.

Room and laundry clean and tidy, but three old stains on carpet which looked like caused by water leaks in past. Toilet seat loose. TV aerial cable broken. Shower was good and in good condition. Soaps/shampoo and kettle provided. General impression was room etc kept clean but getting old. However should point out that renovations were in progress so is being worked on. Location is good for transport - walking distance from Gare du Nord and 5 min walk to Metro.

Location was a cool 10 min walk from the main station. the road to hotel was lonely at times late at night, not a safe place to stay, very close 5 min walk to a metro station. Reception was very helpful and breakfast was good, rooms were also neat and clean.

We tried to find one of the best solution price/qulity according the reviews on venere.com, so we got what we paid. The location is very close to metro (3 minutes), foodshop is just beside the hotel (closed on Sundays). The staff at reception - one guy was excellent. He helped us in any question we asked him for. The other one seemed to us like he absolutly didn't want to do anything. The hotel offers breakfast for additional fee just one door beside (we didn't use it). For couple days to staying it's really great saving of your money.

It is conveniently located near the metro station. There is also someone at the desk all night. The people that worked the desk were extremely helpful. We only stayed 2 nights and there was a mix up with our reservation for the second night but they took care of it without a problem. The only caution I would have is that there is no airconditioner which would be miserable in the hot summer nights. We were lucky that the weather was mild and we could keep our window opened but that in turn let in all the city noises and also made my husband worry about safety.

A very clean and well situated hotel with easy access to the metro. The breakfast is a continental self service with plenty to chose from.A good base to explore Paris if you want cheap, clean, friendly and helpful lodgings.

Be careful: on every floor there is 1 room with extreme poor view (to an undescribable metal rubbish inside roof instead of the street view that all the other rooms have) - better to clarify at reservation.

The room was big enough for 1-2 persons and it was very clean. The only negative with the room was that the TV did not work, and whene I asked about it they said it was because of the storm, but it only rained for some houers and the TV did not work at all. Its also a minus that the breakfast is not included in the price, but it only cost 7.50 Euro. It took only 10 min to walk to Gare Du Nord station so the location of the hotel is excellent. I will stay there next time im in Paris also.
