Very friendly and helpful receptionists (the cleaning ladies were a bit grumpy). Not so clean; e.g. the shower curtain was brown at the bottom and the carpet was stained. There was only lukewarm water in the mornings = quite cold to shower. And there was no wardrobe, only a few shelves... Very good location with the metro and taxi station just outside. An OK hotel considering the low price and if you don't spend too much time in the room. I have quite high standards and still thought it was OK for staying a few days, so if you're looking for a cheap central place then I'd recommend it. Not for romantic holidays though...

We found the staff very helpful, and would recommend this hotel to friends. We were particularly pleased with the fact that it's very close to the Metro, which gave ease of transport around Paris.

staff were very courteous. excellent location convenient for metro, bars, restaurants, theatre and within a short stroll of montmartre, pigalle and sacre coeur.

Just a few mins. walk from the Metro station. Quite convenient. Continental breakfast served is good. But better to stay at higher level as quite nosiy in the midnight. And better to provide some basic cleansing items in the washroom other than towels (like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc.).

The staff was incredible helpful, especially with helping us organize a shuttle ride to CDG airport. This is a great place to stay to be in the heart of the Montmartre district. The breakfast includes coffee, orange juice, and bread only so we recommend hitting a nearby cafe. Also, room 116 had a horrible septic smell that worsened into the night but was fine during the day. This hotel did not have a crib for a child but we were able to push two beds together. Overall, if you are traveling childless and are looking for a hotel in the heart of the Montmartre district for a reasonably low price, this may be the place for you. It is on the corner of a very busy intersection, so bring ear plugs!

Nice people working there. Very helpful. The breakfast ladies can't speak much French or English, and can sometimes take quite a while to get your food to you. Like a lot of major squares in Paris, it can get a little noisy at night, but all in all, this is a good hotel for the price. I've been back there twice after the first time. The Moulin Rouge and the long row of sex shops next to it are only a couple of blocks away. For me, this was a negative, as I had a group of high school kids with me and needed to avoid walking in that direction. They never knew what was just around the corner, fortunately. The Place de Clichy, where the hotel is, has a much different feel to it. It is a good place to be, with a movie theater, numerous restaurants, banks, etc. and a handy metro stop.

This could be a little gem if they spent some money on the place. We had a nice room but the beds were ancient and there was no soap etc in the shower. Below 2 star in my opinion. It looks very different to photos on Internet!

towels are very old and tears, sink of toilet is stuck, water is very dirty and polluted, and when I asked for new towels receptionest asked me to come down to collect!!!!!

Stayed in Hotel from the 25-28 March 2004. Hotel does not deserve 2 star rating it has. It is dark and dirty looking the bathroom is terrible with horrible old towels and the handle falling off the door The Hotel has a great location it is a shame. Breakfast room is not the same as the picture. It is really bad and the reception is stuck under the stairs. Not a very pleasant experience on what was supposed to be a romantic weekend.

Good, basic hotel for the price. The location was ideal for getting around. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very basic - juice, croissant, bread, coffee. Fruit, cereal or yogurt wouldn't have gone amiss!
