The day clerk was very helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble! Normally we would expect much more of the accomodation for the price we paid. However, accomodation is expensive in Paris so keeping that in mind I think this was very good value for money. Being opposite Gare du Nord was very convenient for Eurostar and getting around town on the Metro. The rooms were clean (although could have done with a better vacuum) and more spacious than I was expecting. A tip for changing money. There are 3 money change places in the nearby area, from experience the one right next to the hotel is the best value. There is also one inside Gare du Nord with no fee but a low rate and one on the street front opposite Gare du Nord where we were stung by a high fee.

Booked last minute to watch Scotland's famous 1-0 victory against France (James McFadden!). No problems with booking last minute, central location - hotel had everything we needed but is far from the Ritz! Could do with some renovation and new furniture. Staff were helpful - so much so that we were advised to eat something after being at the pub and wear a jacket when going out - felt just like leaving the house for a night out when we were 16! Overall did the job but slightly pricey for what you got but it is a hotel in central Paris afterall.

This was fine for 1 night and catching a train. Room was ok and big enough. Location good for train, but not much else other than restaurants. Did not have breakfast, and is extra.

The size of the room for a triple occup was pathetic.3 single beds barely fit and we could not walk without touching the beds. The washroom/shower was very tiny as well. The front desk staff was very rude and not helpful at all. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Its right above the Gare du Nord which is a very central location.

The staff was really nice and the location perfect for our needs. However, the room was not very clean and there was mold in the bathroom. We arrived healthy, but two of us got sich overnight with a respiratory illness - allegies, caugh, runny nose, always exarcebated in the evening at hotel room. The reason I would not return to this hotel is the poor cleanliness and maintenance of the room and bathroom. If the rooms/bathrooms are better cleaned and maintained, the quality vs. price would be at least an 8. Thank you for allowing my constructive comments.

This is my second stay here. This is a small room and you take a small elevator to get to it. But for a room that is within eyesight of the Gare du Nord, read no taxi needed, it fits the bill. There is ANOTHER Hotel Gare du Nord on the same street a 1/2 block farther away, Comfort Inn Hotel Gare du Nord. The rate is 30 Euros higher, I checked. This hotel is due for some renovation work per the manager. Rugs, paint etc. If you plan to spend any time here other than a base to sleep and clean up so you can go back out and enjoy Paris, this might not be it. If you are large, same story. But the staff is very nice and always have a nice greeting when you return. 24 hours desk coverage. Oh, the bus station is also right across the street. Gare du Est is within walking distance, 10-15 minutes or so.

Very convenient being right opposite the Gare du Nord. Just as we arrived it was raining and it only took us one minute to walk to the hotel. Reception was good and the key was immediately handed to us and the counter staff was very cheerful and helpful. No forms to fill and the hotel was anticipating our arrival. Befitting a budget hotel, the lift was very small and can fit in 2 persons with baggages at any time. Lift does not open at the floor to the room and baggages have to be carried up winding staircase though only a small climb. Generall the hotel was satisfactory for us as a family with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Very easy access to the metro and groceries, restarants, convenient store.

The Hotel is fine. Me and my wife had a good time in there. My complain is about the size of the room, it was too small. And the breakfast could have a better variety of food. The employees are very competent, they gave us all information we needed. And the location also was very convenient, because it is a few steps from the metro station. Well, thanks a lot, and I hope some day get back to Paris.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just opposite the train station Gare du Nord. However the hotel room is too small (I was given the smallest one of all!). The lift was unbelievable small and the hotel is in very poor condition. The only staircase is the fire exit and it is just in the middle of the building by the lift. In other words, if the staircase gets fire, there is no other way to escape! Discovering this, I was quite scary. The service in the reception is poor and rude. I asked for a hairdryer to be sent to my room. The receptionist said "No, you have to come down and pay 20 Euro for it". I said "Could you bring it to my room?". "No!" the receptionist said. I wasn't told how much the breakfast was until I checked out. If I had known how much for the breakfast, I would rather have had the breakfast out of the hotel.

Front desk personal were nice, the room for two was extremely small, bathroom and shower small boxes. The picture at the website is too nice for the real appearance of our room. The bed hurt my back.
