Typical small Paris room but clean, well kept and with an acceptable bathroom. Breakfast was good - both quality and variety. A computer providing free broadband internet was downstairs and they stored our luggage until we caught the train that night. I´d stay there again.

We spent 5 days in June 2006 in this miserable place, I would not recomment it to my worst enemy. The so called spacious rooms are not much larger than the cabin of the cruise ship we just left. The floor of the rooms are imitation wood and very noisy. You get to sleep when the person above you stops walking and wake up when they get up. The walls are thin and we enjoyed listening at our neighbour snoring all night. If you want some ice you will be told rudely to go next door and ask for some (they also own the hotel next door). If you are lucky enough to get a half glass of ice you will also be told to bring the container back if you want some more. In case you want to do some ironing, you will be directed to go down and through a maze of tunnels that eventually will take you to the underground laundry room next door where you are expected to do your ironing. This hotel is the stereotype of rotten place that gives the Parisiens a bad reputation they do not deserve.

This hotel is in a good central location near Notre Dame. All the staff spoke English and were very helpful. Whilst the room was small, it was very comfortable. Would stay again.

On the website there was an indication that the hotel had a swimming pool, which was not the case since it only had a jacuzzi.

Very nice welcome (we were delayed because of flight problems), very conveniently located hotel, a fine room and probably the best breakfast buffet we have had in a french hotel. All in all, ahotel we’d very much like to stay at again.

there was no door on the cabinet (armoire) which was not really excellent. 12 EUR für a regular breakfast also seems quite expensive.

I was only one night at Hotel Moderene Saint Germain, the room was very clean, quiet and warm. The employees were also very pleasant. The "welcome-smile" at the reception is always to acknowledge. My (short) stay was very good in that place, which is also located very near to the center and to the university area. I did not have breakfast at the Hotel, I think it is cheaper in a Bar outside. To my opinion, the quality/price ratio is also rather high, particularly considering the location of the Hotel. I would certainly recommend this Hotel to everyone.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. The room was spacious (especially for Paris) and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was delicious and served at reasonable times 7-10am. It was in short walking distance to La Rue Mouffetard (With all its many restaurants), Notre dame, the Sorbonne and the Pantheon.

most helpful management; rooms on the small side; brilliant location amidst vibrant university district reasonably priced restaurants; easy walk to Metro and short ride to everywhere you want to go! We were very happy with everything except the slow drain in the shower.

Room (as ever in Paris) fairly small. On quite a busy road but double glazing kept most of the noise out. Shower room a bit tired, but signs that refurbishment going on in other parts of hotel. Breakfast very good - nothing hot, but lots of choice of rolls, cereals, yoghurts etc- Nice breakfast room with big windows onto street

Our stay here was very good the location was excellent for those wanting to use hop on hop off buses, and notre-dame was only around the corner. Restuarants were excellent only across the street overall an excellent stay with top service.

the hotel should not advertise SPA, and fittness, saunas didnt work, the pool was ridiculous. location was great.
