i spent three nights in this hotel with my 11 years old son and we were very pleased. a cheap and new and tastefully renovated place in a very central location. the room was large enough, the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious. there is a waterboiler, coffee & tea in the room and a flat tv. the only minus is the noise from the street. but if the windows stay close, it's ok. next time in paris i will stay there again and i can recommend this hotel.

If you're on a budget but want a hotel in a great location this place is perfect. It's literally right next to the Gare d'Austerlitz which is one of the main train stations. It's a stone's throw from the river and Notre Dame and Shakespeare & Co. are a short walk away. It's super handy, we walked everywhere day and night, barely used the expensive metro pass we bought (by the way, bypass the 18 euro three day deal and just get yourself a book of single use tickets for 11 euro). However, you get what you pay for, the shower door wasn't sealed so we ended up with a lake in our bathroom every time we took a shower and as our room was at the front of the hotel it was soooooo noisy. However, for a weekend break it's fine. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

This is a very small hotel, but the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable thus it offers good value for the price. It isn't located in a particularly scenic street, but the botanical gardens (inlcluding the natural history museum and a small zoo) are two minutes walk away, as is the left bank of the Seine - and there are lots of small cafes and bars nearby. There's a Metro station right outside, but it's only a short walk into the Quartier Latin. I had a rear-facing room overlooking the apartments at the back, so it was very quiet at night. I noticed that one person had commented that the staff spoke nothing but French - this wasn't the case during my visit: everyone spoke some English and were very friendly. The reception area was in the process of being refurbished while I was visiting, but the staff were at pains to apologise for the upheaval and it really wasn't that much of an inconvenience. My only real criticism is that the breakfast coffee wasn't great – when I go to France I expect supreme coffee! :)

The staff so far was good and they speak other languages. The problem was the price and accomodities. We could not access to internet from our homes with our peronal PCs, we had black out. The hotel was renoved during our stay so you could see all garbage on the stairs...

I chose this hotel for the location, right across from the Gare Austerlitz. We were leaving the next morning for a train to the Dordogne; could walk right over to station. Hotel is also close to Jardin des Plantes and the Seine. The street it's on is not scenic, rather busy and full of businesses but it suited my purpose perfectly. Breakfast, included was typical French continental, buffet style. Comparatively good and generous. Room was tiny but they all are in this price range in France. Room very cozy and comfortable.

Free Internet for ~15 min, as met within other hotels, should be provided. Nevertheless, the price of 4 Euro/15 min for this service is not realistic.

The hotel works well for us the only inconvenience was they gave us a smokers room. The location is very good if your plan needs the metro/train infront. In general the instalations work well but they can paint and fix some minor details in the bathroom, like the door of the shower and the dryer.

The hotel is situated in an excellent area of Paris to visit many places of interest. We took the bateaubus to the Eiffel Tower,Notre Dame and the Louvre. The reception staff were always very polite and helpful.
