Hôtel Waldorf Trocadéro

My boyfriend and I booked to come to Paris again (first time had been in April) and thought we would give this hotel a try (In April we stayed at the Hilton Eiffel Tower hotel) and was I dissappointed.Read more On arrival we were told we had to stay at there sister hotel (Waldorf Mandeleine) as they were fully booked up? but we would then retun the follwoing day to our original hotel? We were only there 2 nights and at 11pm at night we did not fancy moving hotels only to be moved again the follwoing day. We also explained we had booked to got to euro disney on the Saturday and so would not be able to move hotels until late evening, though they spoke good english when it came to complaing about hotel changes etc they couldn't undersyand us???? mmmhh selective understanding!!!! Anyway a couple also walked in behind us and they had the same problem. We all shared a taxi to the sister hotel and checked in. We had upgraded to a superior room!!! superior if your use to staying in blackpool b&bs then you will be fine, not that I dont like B&B's I do but only in blackpool, In Paris i expected more. The room was tiny and I mean very very small, there was no room to move and the bed looked like it had been jumped on for about a year!, the only good thing is there was a flat screen TV but I wsn't there to watch TV.

Though I cannot comment on rooms in the Waldorf Trocedero I can only assume they are all the same, oh and no hotel bar by the way, its literally a reception, a smallseating area, 4/5 tables for breakfast and then your stair case to your rooms and this in both hotels? its more of a hostel then hotel.

1am in the morning we were checking into the Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower hotel, We cannot fault this place, amazing location, view of the Eiffel Tower and the staff are fantactic, Concierge managed to get us into the Moulin Rouge for a meal and show and My boyfriend asked me to marry him so it couldn't get much better.

Fortunately the Waldorf hotels hadn't ruined our weekend but we could not of stayed in them for the 2 nights, Paris should be a wonderful experience and not ruined by silly mix ups and horrible hotels.

Personnally i'd pick an entirely different hotel

+ The hotel itself, the location and the staff were excellent. The porter was very helpful.

+ Superb location; good breakfast; clean, comfortable room.
- Room was a bit on the small side, even for a European/Paris hotel.

I expected way better from a Hotel of that standing. I was a bit disappointed by the staff, who was not very welcoming.
