This is a renovated hotel about 20 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, and close to a metro station and Place de Republique. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfasts were very good. The rooms are quite small, but fine if all you want is a place to sleep at night.

Very modern and well located hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean. The only disadvantage was breakfast, during which the tables were not cleaned quickly enough, so that guests had to eat in the middle of other people's mess.

Very good value. Very compact but nicely furnished room. Paintwork showing some attrition from previous occupants' luggage etc. My inside room looked out on a residential courtyard and was totally quiet at night, which is great in central Paris. Free internet was good on Sunday night, but was overloaded on Monday morning and was useless. Breakfast room clean and functional but not somewhere you would want to linger in for very long. Bizarrely the large plasma TV was tuned to a Portuguese music video station with the sound turned down. What was the point in that? Still, a good place to stay if you want to be close to Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est and don't want to pay through the nose.

Excellent hotel - staff very welcoming and helpful. A hop and a skip from a Metro station and just two stops from Gard du Nord. On a busy street but sound not really a problem. Modern and spacious - excellent bathroom. And a kettle in the room with a choice of teas. A good choice at breakfast - the breakfast room was in the basement so a little closed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a ways from the tourist sites, but we didn't mind the walk and there was a metro station near by. I would recommend using the metro or a taxi at night, since part of the walk didn't seem all that safe. There was a wonderful bar across the street called Harmonie Cafe and we ended up there our first and second nights in Paris. The internet access was nice. The rooms were small, but clean and decorated tastefully. After checking out, we missed our train and went back to the hotel. They gave us a larger room at the same price that we had gotten when we booked on line.
