booked this hotel because of the rave reviews about it it was nothing special rooms clean but small ours had a reasonable bathroom friends was very tiny shower room female staff on reception were very good barman seemed to have not muchtime except if you were buying very expensive champagne prices for drink very expensive in hotel and area eg two whiskies two small beers ranging from 20pounds not euros to extorionate 35 pounds depending on bistro do not know how the parisians can afford this watch out for taxis only take four people if you beg from station to airport around 60 euros but again had to beg tham to take four the montparnasse area seems to be expensive would choose another district if we go back louvre good value eifiel tower bit dissapointing only one side working delays to go up about 4hours sacre coeur well worth going to see the waiters can be rude but do not tip as there was always a service charge on your bill even in cafes and pubs
Decent average hotel, expensive for the room size, even though I got a free upgrade. We would not have fitted into anything smaller. Staff good, breakfast good if on the expensive side
My stay at the Lenox was enjoyable as always. I've stayed there several times over the last decade, and look forward to returning. It is reasonably priced, and the rooms, although small, are very comfortableRead more and well-kept, and all seem to have memorable views, either of the quiet street or a picturesque courtyard. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. They all speak English and are also indulgent to people who want to try out their rusty French. I had been in Europe for several weeks and realized that I had not brought the information on my return flight (booked online, no paper); I envisioned having to get to Charles DeGaulle hours in advance just to find the correct terminal, but two members of the staff found everything for me, so I could relax and enjoy my last night in Paris. The Lenox was recommended to me by friends and since then I have recommended it to others. I could cite other examples of the excellent staff helping me in the past, for example, when my luggage did not arrive with me in Paris. Oh, and you can't beat the neighborhood. It's definitely the best part of Paris to stay in, and that's saying a lot in a city with so many great neighborhoods (all of which are easily accessible fronm the nearby Metro stop)!
After a lot of searching through the internet I kept coming back to The Lenox Montparnasse. Our visit was to be part of a 60th.Birthday surprise celebration that was to include other members of our friendsRead more family arriving from England at the chosen Hotel mid afternoon on Sunday 19th.August 07. When I contacted the Lenox directly by telephone, I began speaking with Julia, well if ever staff can make the right sort of impact Julia certainly did! immediately I began asking the normal questions Julia had all of the answers and represented the Lenox Montparnasse with such professionalism and enthusiam I decided immediately that this was where we would be staying. She became part of our group for the whole of our stay, acting as an unpaid tour organiser, places to see, routes of interest to walk, places to eat, taxi's, and through all of this managing to keep little surprises secret from the recipient. I had read reports that the rooms were small! maybe they are but they are big enough!! why would you want to go to Paris and sit in your room? if you walk Paris what your Hotel room should have is good shower and washing facilities, and the Lenox has. Ideally placed on the South side of the Seine within a 35 minute walk from the Eifel Tower in one direction and a 35 minute walk in the opposite direction will find you at the Notre-Dame. If you want a good solid foundation to your stay in Paris, above average decor and staff (especially "Julia") that truely care, then look no further than The Lenox Montparnasse.
I booked this hotel the night before coming and was afraid if it was worth the money (175€/night). it was very nice and the free wireless internet was working very well, except for doing video chats (perhapsRead more excluded on purpose). The room was clean and nice, and kept that way by a very effective staff, although it was a little on the small side. But definitely not the smallest I have stayed at in Paris. Ant the art in the room was nice too. The staff was very friendly, especially in the bar, which also has one of the better whisky collections that I have seen - and tasted - in Paris. Breakfast was included in the price and was okay, although the bread selection could be better (speaking as a Dane ;-) ). Location is excellent near the famous café's at Boulevard Montparnasse, within walking distance of Luxembourg Gardens and the Tour Montparnasse, which is worth it at night, btw. I will definitely consider going there again, if my budget permits.
I read the reviews and for once was not only happy to find that they were right, but the hotel was even better than described. It was very clean and well decorated. I even had my own balcony complete withRead more well maintained flower boxes. So adorable! For what you get, including the location, the price is amazing! I almost don't want anyone to know so I can get a room there next time!
We were delighted with the freindly staff and cleanliness of this small Lenox hotel. The rooms were decidedly small but clean with nice fresh sheets and thick towels and a bright and clean washroom. OursRead more had a view of the street and a nice new opening window with the typical paris iron railing and flower box.
In room internet service was great and we used it to plan our Paris touring.
There must have been 100 cafe's with in easy walking distance, we didn't have a bad meal in any of them we tried.
The Lenox bar was also small but very nice and the drinks and wines were excellent although a little pricey.
Altogether we had a great experience here and would certainly come back.

One morning we were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful street market that appeared on Raspail. Great place, great location.

I normally don't do reviews but I was compelled to do this one.
From the moment we (4 of us) walked trough the door at Lenox we were greeted first with a smiles and then byRead more there professionalism towards one tired crew and let me tell you this service did not stop there..entire staff made sure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable for the entire 5 days. Thanks to the staff of Lenox for the great Paris experience.
Oh yes..I forgot...if you are there the female bartender that served us has one of the nicest bums I have seen..lol
My wife and I were received by very kind people at the front desk. They speak English and willing to help you. In our case, Julia was helpful for every detail and she was always with a smile in here face.Read more We were having problems with a room and they changed us immediately. The hotel is located in a great Neighborhood. The only small aspect we don’t like is that room walls are not sound proof so, you can here all sounds from rooms at your side. Metro stations are just 5 minutes walk. Fine restaurants and bars are just around the corner. In overall I highly recommend this hotel. I will stay here again.
