+ good location, quiet and clean

Just returned from three nights at the Hotel Jules.
The photos on TA of the outside are out of date, the hotel must have changed hands, now it has blue canopies and signs etc.
The rooms and public areasRead more were faultless, clean and in good condition.
The room was very modern but lit in an unusal way with spot lights and a bit dim.
The front desk staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English helpful, phoned our restaurant to change a booking on out behalf and booked taxis.
Good continental breakfast in bright room down in basement.
Location, we could see the Eiffle Tower from our balcony, well the top of it any way, also we had a great view just down the road of the Sacre Coure.

Me and my partner stayed at Hotel Jules in Paris for 4 days in August this year. We travelled by Eurostar and had trawled the internet checking reviews for lots ofRead more hotels before eventually deciding on Hotel Jules.

I would most definately recommend this hotel to anyone. It was positioned in an excellent location only 5 minutes taxi drive from Gare du Nord (train station), 10 second walk from Le Peletier Metro station which was a great way to travel around Paris. It is in a central location and is very close to small local supermarkets, restaurants and shops.

The staff were incredibly helpful and polite and the rooms were very clean. Our room was cleaned by house-keeping on a daily basis. I was surprised to find that the rooms do reflect the picutres posted on the hotel website.

We stayed to the front of the hotel and had a small balcony which was ideal for our needs. The bathrooms are fair size and although ours only had a shower I understand that rooms with baths were available if this facility was required for children.

I found the breakfast to be most satisfactory with a range of things to choose from. Although the breakfast was typically french they did have cereal, fruit and tea. However breakfast is 14 Euros per person, per day. Our breakfast was included in our deal through Eurostar so we couldn't complain about the price.

Paris is a great place for Culture and visiting some great buildings and landmarks and this is a great hotel with a great location to do it from. Although this is not your higher end hotel we found it to be very good value for money.

The only downside to Paris is the price of the drinks. At average 6-7 Euros for a pint of beer its probably not ideal for big drinkers who may wish to buy alcohol from the local off licence instead.

- Noise, No air conditioning so very hot in the rooms. You are right in the center so the noise from the stag do's make it impossible to sleep
