This was the largest room ever had in Europe. Three beds, large posh bath, view of the Madeline from the window, centrally located, good food.....I can't say enough good about it.

Quiet, fairly good quality (old building brings its own flavours to the mix), small rooms (as all of Paris's hotels) and extremely small elevator. Our room was behind two elevator trips on the 5th floor, no emergency exit outside, only inside stairs, otherwise nothing negative to say -> clean, quiet and nice, good breakfast etc..! Louvre, river Seine and the shops in the center all in walking distance (< 1.5 km), the metro takes you to farther places, such as Sacre Coeur and Eiffel tower.

I have both positive and negative feedback. The negative was that I had requested a non-smoking room, but clearly someone had smoked in the room for the minute my friend and I walked into the room we could smell smoke. I requested to change rooms but apparently the hotel was full. The front desk employee gave me spray to help flush out the smoke smell. The only other negative thing I had to say was the hotel needs sound proof windows. I didn't get a wink of sleep my first night due to some sort of construction or garbage pickup workers out on the street working for at least three to four hours in the middle of the night; it was very very loud. The positive side was the hotel is situated in a great location which makes it convenient to get to many spectacular sights. The beds were pretty comfortable also which was a plus. If only I could have slept. The hotel definitely needs sound proof windows!
