Superb location to go exploring and reasonable price. Friendly and accomodating. Only downer was a grumpy waitress at breakfast (which was fresh and plentiful), but everyone else smiley and friendly.

My wife and I stayed at the Ascot Opera Hotel for 1 week during August 2007, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was small certainly, but we were out and about most of the time so it was not a problem. Facilities are basic but clean, tidy, and perfectly functional and the staff friendly and helpful. The best part of all is the location! VERY CENTRAL and within walking distance of most city tourist attractions. Quiet, safe neighboourhood, about 1 block off Rue de L'Opera. I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending this hotel to friends, provided they are not expecting 5 star luxury.

rooms are very small that you cann,t move , I think towine rooms are sutible for one bed . towine beds are very narrow so you cannot have comfortable sleep.

The reception staff on arrival set the standard for what was a generally poor experience at this hotel. Even for the inflated Paris conditions this place was less than a welcoming and friendly.

As expected for a 3* paris hotel the room was small but comfortable. spotlessly clean and well serviced. location is fantastic. 100m from metro station in a quiet street. 7 minute walk to Louvre. 2 minutes to l'Opera. staff very nice. would return in a flash!

Nicely located: 5 min walk to Opera and La Fayette; 10 min walk to Louvre. Lots of restaurants within a 10 min walking distance. Small breakfast area, but I would definitely stay there again.

Clean, functional hotel in a good area at an affordable price. The decor in places looks tired and the rooms are small but that's the trade off which, on balance, provides good value.

Hotel failed to provide the booked room. we were put to residential hotel which did not provide the number bed booked. we had booked two rooms , one with a double and two single beds and second room with three single beds. We were provided only with: first room with a double bed and two sofa beds and in the second room a boubl bed and a sofa bed. for breakfast we had to go another hotel which was too busy and with only one person serving. So we had to abandon the breakfast. I will not be rushing to using your services in the future.

The staff in general is very nice, helpful and accomodating. However, there were a few not quite pleasant surprises. I only realized the hotel has two buildings when I checked in. The one listed on the website is at a much quieter corner while the second one, 2 minutes from the first building, is on a busy street that it is quite noisy. And I was given a room in the second building. The room is very small. I reserved a triple room but it was actually a double room with a folding bed added at the spot of a desk which was placed at the hallway. The size of the bathroom is good though. And the breakfast was not what I expected. I believed it said somewhere on the website that it was american style buffet breakfast so I was hoping there would be some hot items. It turned out to be continental breakfast, just a croissant and some baguettes served by a hotel staff with a few kinds of cereal that are self served. Overall, I think it is over-priced.

Great location, handy to Metro & Opera Area. Small, typically French rooms and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.

The location of the hotel was excellent. But the breakfast was not sufficient to delight holiday tastes for travellers who expected French smacks. Bathroom was clean enough. If the cost of stay was a little bit cheaper, I might have visit again.
