I met two unpleasant receptionists. First guy had a couple of hours for registering my passport data (why he needed so long time for this? Somebody at other hotel given me back immediately) The other guy was worse than first guy: one day I was so sick and wanted to have some hot tea in my room. At first, I called bar service, nobody answered the phone so I called the receptionist for asking to bring me some hot/boiled water to my room. He immediately denied my request, since the bar was closed. (what he would do if I was dying?) Also he suggested me the wrong street when I asked my next hotel in Palermo: it was near Teatro Politeama, but his suggestion was near Teatro Massimo! (why he confused these famous theaters in Palermo???) Room was clean, and the shower did have hot water very well, but I DO NOT recommend this hotel for you.

When we first arrived at the hotel we were suprised that the gentleman was not very friendly, demanded our passports without explanation and wouldn't give them back! He gave tham back that afternoon and was fine for the rest of our stay, but not a good first impression. The bar wasn't open ever! There were also road-works at strange times, i.e 10PM, but the window shutters did block out most of the noise. That all said the rest of the hotel was great, the room was excellent and huge, the staff spoke english and other than above were friendly and approachable. The hotel is very close to the centre of Palermo easy walking distance.

Hotel was good but major concern was the misleading indication that the hotel offered a courtesy transfer to Palermo airport, and it was this facility that clinched my booking. In fact no such facility existed but the hotel would book a taxi (what hotel would not?) and they advised where an airport bus could be caught.

Location of Hotel was good, a number of nice restaurants nearby and walking distance to the square where the Teatro Politeama is, which was great for catching the City Sightseeing red buses around the city. Rooms were comfortable and clean, staff were friendly.
