Leisure vacation. Venere map of location quite far off (10 blocks) but worked out well as was close to shopping and train station. Room was nice and clean. Ask for room facing the stock exchange as that give you a nice view and is very quiet vs those over the main street. Take advantage of the free hotel breakfast as price for food in Norway is exorbitant!

The hotel is quite spaciuos. There are free afternoon tea. The room is nice and the breakfast is good. Recommended to all types of travellers.

The hotel is near the train station, which makes it easier for those arriving by train (also airport train). Funny thing is that I made my reservation months before and the price was much higher than weeks before. I ended up cancelling my first reservation and making another one on a much less expensive basis. The surroundings are full of prostitutes and they keep calling for service. Very nearby there was a much cheaper nice budget hotel chain called Thon. Not much different from Confort. By the way: do not waste your time with Oslo. It is not a nice city.

Very close to station (5 min walk) which was exactly as required. Neighbourhood not particularly exciting or welcoming, however. Rooms were beautifully dark and comfortable enough. Heard the elevator whilst attempting to sleep, but hardly loud enough to disrupt my night. Good, solid hotel. Nothing particularly flash or sexy, but suitable for a short weekend in Oslo. Would I stay again? Depends if I could find something with a little more 'pizazz'. Would always be a backup.
