Not at all impressed with hotel quality. No aircon in rooms, decor and fittings in serious need of refurbishment. Location, staff and food were all excellent. Prices leave a lot to be desired. High prices due to location and nothing else.

The room was very shabby - the bathroom had a very stained shower curtain and a rusty pole for the curtain. The bedroom was clean the TV very poor picture. Price of room service menu was unbelievably expensive with a sandwich costing over £7

Rooms are badly in need of a refurb, old furniture, walls with holes in etc. Don't be fooled by the pics on the Moat House web site. This hotel is basically past its sell by date. The health club was dissapointing too. Try somewhere else first.

When we booked in the person on the front desk seemed to be very unaware that a person was speaking with him to book in and when acknowledged an envelope was thrown over the desk. Very un-professional in that position.

the hotel was reasonably priced, average location, with good room service. On the down side however, the room was in need of a lick of paint and seemed slightly run down. Also, the price I was charged over the internet for 1 nights stay was different to that displayed on the hotels own room information systems. Overall though, a good hotel that served its purpose.

I thought the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I enjoyed use of the pool and sauna. I thought the breakfast was good.

The staff at this hotel were very professional and I would reccomend it. Listening to Jackie the restaurant supervisor over breakfast was a pleasure! She was continualy checking her staff.
