Hotel Aston is suitable for clientele who make a lot of experinces during short holidays as it is located in centere of the town and near beach. Since the roomes are small, it is not suitable for long stay.

The hotel is supposedly a 4 star, but the room we had was far below that of a UK 4 star. Scruffy balcony and mildew in the bathroom - not good. The public areas of the hotel were lovely and seemed to have been recently decorated. The swimming pool was small and an extra charge of 13 Euros per person was charged to use it which isn't advetised at all. Nice itself is a great place to spend a few relaxing days though, and i would advise a trip to Monaco as a highlight.

The rooms were in a bad state of repair. The coffey at breakfast was undrinkable. You had to pay to use the swimming pool, I woul not expect that in a 4* hotel.

Very disappointed with what was really a down-market 3* hotel. Location was good - that's the extent of the positive remarks unfortunately. The room was small with peeling wallpaper, damaged carpet, a dripping tap, pathetic air con and a lovely view of the air coniditioning unit. The breakfast was ridiculously priced - croissants for 80cents over the road is def the best plan. Pool wasn't included in price - which seemed absurd - 13 euros a day EACH!! Would not recommend to anyone.

We asked for a city view, and our first room had a view of a wall of another building. All views out of a window (with the exception of a sea view) are classed as city 'views'. The receptionist gladly moved us to a city view room. Also there is no airconditioning in the winter months. only heating. In January the rooms are still too warm at night with no heating on, airconditioning would have been nice! The hotel is very well placed, minutes from the main shops, old town and the sea front. The airport bus also stops just outside the hotel and is a pleasant 10minute ride along the seafront at 4euros a person.

We enjoyed our stay. The disappointment was the breakfast--20 euros for poor coffee, cold eggs and sausage but the breads and fresh juice were very good indeed.

This is not a good hotel. I ordered and paid for a room with a city-view, and the only thing i saw was a big building two meters a head. The reception lady even argued with me and told me it still was a city-view. This is a four-star hotel, but the standard is below three star.

This hotel was quite adequate for the price. The people at the front desk were helpful. The breakfast arrangement was the best we had in France. The only complaint we had was that some renovations were taking place which affected access and cleanliness.

The location is superb for access to the old town but the road is very noisy even with double glazing. We thought breakfast was included and so had breakfast each day only to be challenged on the third day and told then that it wasn't. At 18euros each a day this cam as a shock as breakfast was only just passable. The hot food is definitely not hot! Check your booking carefully...although it was our fault we would have expected someone to say something at the beginning not half an hour before checkout!!!!!!

Having reserved a City View room we were surprised to be allocated the more expensive Fountain View room 322. However this room was poorly decorated and equiped. The room had partial double glassing and in the night was very noisey also the air con was set to heat only, winter setting. My complaint in the morning secured an exchange room 534 which was at the rear, quiet, which allopwed the window to be opened and much superior appointed. I have the view that some hotels allocate inferior rooms to package bookings and this may have occured here. Ratings are for room 543
