The facilities at the West End Studios were not good at all for the price paid. the rooms were very small, it was old and delapidated. it could use a renovation. the walls were paper thin and u coulod hear everything going on around you. But the aspect of our stay that displeased me the most was the fact that the restrooms were outside of your room in a communial type setting if i knew ahead of time i would have made the choice to stay at another location regardless of price, but it was a fact that we discovered only after our check in. The best thing that the West End Studios has going for it is the location but with such poor facilities this feature is not good enough to bring anyone back to this place.

We were very disappointed at the standard of the room, as the price was reasonably high. The photos on the web-site did not reflect reality. More true information needs to be presented to the customer. We cancelled our stay after 2 days....booked for 7 days. Also difficulty in getting a refund as the hostel was paid for by credit card using a booking company. ....we moved to a much cleaner, repectable hostel for a similar price.

It's one of the worst shit hole I have ever set foot in. We reserved for 1 week and we couldn't even manage to stay one night. It's a disgusting place full of bugs. Don't go!!!

this place was horrific, we only stayed one of the three nights I paid for but we had to get out of there it was the most disgusting place I hve ever set foot in and they have the cheek to advertise as a tourist quality accomadation.

It was a very dirty hostel that was called a hotel. There are bugs everywhere, and the place was not clean at all. It was too warm in the rooms to sleep as well.

Your hotel reservation have not been booked to the WESNYC. I spent 2 hours to make sure the reservation. Hotel front stuff searched why my booking disappear and the agency forget to transfer the booking reference to the hotel. The hotel introduced me sister hotel and I stayed there. That was really 1 star backpackers accomodation.No AC, shower, semi^double size bed, stain room..... I strongly seek your agency to refand compleately. If you will not reply about it, I will email again. I have never experienced the hotel agency's activity. Again, I seek all the fee refand.

Cons: The baths are shared. There is no soap in the baths. The rooms are small and dusty. The heating is turned off during the day and are turned on only at evening. There were no fresh linens in the room. The room was dark and did not get any sunshine. Check in time is after 3 PM. Usually check-ins are around 10-11 AM at other hotels. There is wireless in the hotel. However, it's not free. There is no office of management. So, if you want to leave your luggage at the hotel for a couple of hours after you check out, you need to use the lockers which cost 5 dollars per day. The worst is just coming nw.. Stay tight. I was bite by a bug in the mid of the night. I woke up with pain in my fingers. Although small it was poisonous. My finger got swollen and numb. That was scary. I would never ever stay here again.

There was no where to hang or put my clothes. I had to kill a cockroach on the wall the first night. The bed and pillows were lumpy. I had a private room, but was sharing the bathroom with the room next door that had 6 bunk beds of men, not to mention other quests down the hall. To use the bathroom to take a shower required I get up 5 am and it was filthy. The low price and location was not worth staying in such horrible lodging! My recommendation is not to stay there under any circumstances.

Location and neighbourhood were very good, handy transportation, great take out food stores. Staff were helpful. However owners and managment could put more effort into making the rooms a bit more friendly and comfortable, i.e. dresser, chair, more appropriate curtains, bedside table, with lamp, better tv reception. I found all this lacking and as a result I was disapointed. Painting workmanships is terrrible, and doors are in terrible condition. Stairways are filthy. Bathrooms also left a bit to be desired. It is obvious that owners are very stingy in spending money to upgrade the facility, and this is a shame given the hotel has a great location and the potential to improve on what could be a thriving business.
