It's a contemporary/modern version of a Comfort Inn with no amenities, but you are right on the cusp of SoHo, Little Italy, and Chinatown. They do have an affiliation with a gym in the neighborhood if you feel compelled to work out. The rooms are small, but the windows are big and help fight the clausterphobicness. It's a bit overpriced since there are so few hotels in the SoHo area. Certainly there are nicer places with more amenities for the same rate if you don't mind staying in Midtown. In Manhattan, it's all about location, location, location.

not a hotel, but a rip-off: a collection of (small) rooms, but no other feature, such as a sitting area, let alone breakfast or other services. Service therefore consists of overworked friendly person at reception who booked me upon arrival into a room already occupied by someone else's luggage and socks. In room 2 beds, but only 1 chair (because no place for second). No proper heating, just a fan which went on and off with great noise. bathroom ok. small selection of TV programs. Given these circumstances, costs are rather on the outrageous side. Location alone is no excuse.
