We could not have asked for better accomodations in a better location! It had everything we needed: hair care & body wash, hair dryer, iron, in-room safe, even wine glasses! Will definitely stay there again.

The room was a very nice size, the bathroom wasn't as clean as we would have liked, and we noticed that the garbage in the kitchenette had not been removed after the prior guest departed. that said, the location is great. we called the hotel and booked for a second night, and found the same room was almost $200 dollars cheaper than booking with hotel club booked through orbitz.

Excellent, we would go back in a heartbeat. 4 blocks from the empire state building, thus close to everything. Great service, comfy bed and kitchen, plus close to all amenities. Well worth it.

When we arrived they put us in a 1 bedded room and there was 4 of us, we did go to reception and she said booking the room through a third party was no guarantee as to what was stated on our paper work, luckily she found us a room with 2 double beds, but i think if we had not said anything that they were trying to pull a fast one. the room was lovely could of done with a thorough clean though but was ok, the kitchen and bathroom was a bit dirty inside the cupboards, i think they could do with some proffesional cleaners, overall it was lovely fab location, would stay there again if had too.

An excellent hotel. Service was outstanding and I was very impressed. The The Rare Burger joint downstairs was very tasty with the best sweet potato fries I think I have ever tasted! Location is a little bit quiet, but we enjoyed that as it wasn't around the tourist trap of times square

Unfortunately I was very sick when I stayed at the Shelbourne! 12 days in bed out of 14! Had bad accident in room my last night! Not Hotels fault! Had to do with my ailment! This hotel was the priciest of all the places I stayed, & the room the worst (even though it was ok)The staff were the best & most helpfull of my entire trip!
