Great and friendly staff. Hotel is 2mn from Grand Central. Windows are not sound proof ! which is very annoying. Bathroom is a bit old, shower and furniture shall be renewed.

The service we experienced at the Dylan was great, from the front desk staff to our bartender. We checked in early with no problems, they held our bags when we checked out since we had the afternoon to continue checking out the city, and arranged for a car service back to JFK. You can't beat the location, you have so much so close.

Excellent location near 42 Street and Grand Central but in a quiet area. Lacks some of the faciliies found in larger hotels but compensated for by friendly staff. Good restaurant in the hotel but lots of alternatives in the area. Overall, a characterful hotel and a good base for exploring New York.

Pro: This is the quietest hotel in Midtown Manhanttan. Its location is most convenient, because of proximity to the airport shuttle bus at Grand Central, which at $15 is the more economical transportation than cab to all the airports. Con: Room is not large, just has high ceilings. Deco art wash basin in bathroom is shallow and tends to splash. Shower head over bath tub does not fit into its holder. Price for room is too high, but probably normal for that area of town.

Breakfast was poorly cooked and very pricey. Room was a bit small for a king deluxe. Location was terrific and a small hotel is what I needed because I am recovering from a broken ankle and leg.
