We had a nice but very small room. We had to squeeze our bags on each side of the bed, and the only place to sit was on the bed. The hotel had a good location, just beside the Central Park, and the neighborhood was good! The staff was nice and helpful, they could answer most of our questions:) We will stay here again, no doubt about it, as long as we'll get a bigger room..

My first night I was trapped in the elevator for several mintues. After walking down 13 flights of stairs and asking for a larger room (which was the reason I was riding the elevator) I was told I couldn't move to a larger room because I had book my reservation through another company other than the hotel. The bedding is very old and tired. I had to go and find my laundry twice after sending it out. One time I was given someone else's clothes and the second time I made two trips to the front desk because I was only given partial orders. I will not stay at this property again nor recommend to anyone else. I question your rating system when lookikng at other properties you represent. It has a great location but it's a below average property.

Housekeeping well after 2pm first day, and after noon on others. Space was extremely small and small closet. Location favourable.

I was offered a new room because I had a duffle plus a few shopping bags. The one I had been given me was too small, I was told. The new one was tiny. There really was not enough room for my bags. There was no surface space to put wallet, glasses, keys, etc. and certainly not for my wife's make-up. We had to sweeze bewteen the bed and the dresser to get to the bathroom, whose door just barly missed the bed when it was opened. I had a hard time with my duffle in the hall because the walls were so close together.

Small, comfortable and clean rooms. Staff is friendly. Excellent location. Request corner rooms which are bigger. Not alot of extras, but for the price and location it can't be beat.

The room was tiny: you couldn't actually walk round the double bed and there was nowhere to put stuff; the bathroom was even tinier - if you're a very large person I doubt you could actually get in there! But from talking to friends, that's pretty normal for New York hotels unless you stay somewhere very expensive. And how much time do you actually spend in your room anyway? The decor was all a bit tired, which makes it look a bit grubby, but in fact the room was very clean. Just don't think that your room is going to look like the pictures they show you on the website or on the leaflet! The people at the reception desk were extremely friendly and helpful, and the Upper West Side location is great - close to the park, subway, museums and restaurants. If you accept that anywhere you stay in New York is going to be relatively expensive, then I'd say this place was good value for money.

Buffet continental breakfast was included in the price, as was a coffee maker in the room. The hotel also had a very small fitness centre - all additional extras which I hadn't expected.

In all, we booked into the Comfort Inn 3 times. Each time we were on a higher floor, and the rooms got smaller. First visit we were on the 6th floor and the room was not large, but ok. Second time the 10th floor and the room was smaller, couldn't open suitcases properly, and the third time on the 14th floor and it was a real squash. Could not have stayed on the 14th floor more than one night.

Room very small, however brilliantly located opposite Central Park and convenient to Subway system. We had 3 people in the room and every day had to request a third bathtowel
