Excellent hotel. Our favorite hotel location in which to stay in NYC. We have been coming for 20 years. Quiet . Convenient. Kitchen facilities and nearby groceries make breakfast a comfortable relaxing experience.Nearby transportation of bus and subway is a plus. We like the Upper West Side neighborhood where life revolves more around locals than tourists. Regular hotel price has gone up more each year in past few years.

Nice hotel, well situated, lots of restaurants around, quiet streets. Our room was neat and comfortable. The only reproach that I have to adress to this hotel is the foul smell in the corridors.

Nice location on Upper West side, across a fairway market, very practical to organize breakfast or quick snacks before shows... Try to get a room on the rear because Broadway can be noisy depending on the necessity of the reapprovisionnement/market... Rooms are large, the kitchnenette has microwave, coffeemaker, a 2 electric cuisiniere , a refregirator and also glasses, cups, plates...

I really recommend this hotel to second-time visitors to New York; it's in a great area that I would never have got to know otherwise. It's not in MidTown but a major subway staion is 2 blocks away, great shopping 6 blocks away and it's right by Central Park. I stayed in a suite which worked out cheaper - well equipped kitchen and there's a supermarket across the street.

Hotel is located right across the street from Fairways and Citarella - only 2 of the 3 best food stores in New York! Room is good sized - i had a room with 2 double beds. It has a little kitchenette with a coffee maker and a stove with cooking ware to do simple meals. I would stay here again - only wish they would have some better discounts.

Beacon Hotel was for us in a great position. We enjoyed the closeness to Central Park and to the subway which got us to wherever we wanted to go in a matter of minutes. When we next visit New York we will definitely consider staying there again.

Excellent quiet place to stay in upper west side. More locals than tourists in area. have stayed there for years. would recommend for those who like to do some of their own cooking with veggies and breads from across the street at Fairway and Citrella..

The staff is friendly, responsible, and hardworking. The location is wonderful -- so close to H & H Bagels! Of course, the Fairway is a great store and right across the street!

Nice Hotel and pricing that corresponds the age of the hotel. Nice view (stayed 24th floor). Good maintenained air/heater unit, no noise and perfect in order. Greatings from Denmark to Hotel and NY.

COMFORTABLE IN GENERAL. MY COMPLAINT, HOWEVER, IS THAT THE SHEETS WERE SO TINY THAT THEY CAME AWAY FROM THE BEDS CONSTANTLY. THIS WAS MENTIONED TOO BY OTHER FRIENDS OF OURS STAYING IN YOUR HOTEL. YOUR BEDDING ON YOUR QUEEN SIZE BEDS ARE OBVIOUSLY FOR SINGLE OR TWINS; LEAVES AN IMPRESSION OF A REALLY CHEAP HOTEL - WHICH IT ISN'T AND MAKES FOR AN AWKWARD UNCOMFORTABLE SLEEP.

Great place to stay, on upper west side. Lobby was torn up for remodeling and a little inconvenient, but otherwise was a great place to stay.
