The Nesis is a modern hotel opened in 2004, located 3 kilometres from the port of Mergellina and 50 metres from the Cumana station of Naples. The hotel is a member of the international Space Supranational Hotels chain of hotels. This elegant establishment is housed in a 20th century building featuring a large terrace, and is highly appreciated by business travellers seeking an easily-accessible location capable of offering services such as a garage and a business centre.
The 39 rooms, spread over 3 floors, feature attention to detail and sophisticated esthetic choices, such as warm colours, wood furnishings, and large windows. All are equipped with air-conditioning, direct telephone, satellite television, mini safe, and minibar. The restaurant, which can welcome up to 80 people, is furnished in a modern style and offers Italian and Neopolitan cuisine. It opens only by request. Free parking is available on the premises.
The Hotel Nesis is a short distance from the city centre and the Convention Centre known as the "Città della Scienza". It is also very close the the Mostra D'Oltremare exhibition centre and the Solfatara volcano, Nero's hot springs, the Temple of Serapis, and the archeological digs of Rione Terra, a region of exceptional archeological value. In the summer, spend a relaxing day at the beach; several beaches are located nearby.
The Space Hotel Nesis is situated close to historical centre of Naples, a few steps from the interactive science museum Città della Scienza and close to the harbour where ferries for the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida depart. The structure is an elegant and refined building from the beginning of the 20th century on 3 floors with a large and beautiful terrace.

I was led to believe that i had booked a 4 star hotel in Naples. The hotel was fine but it was in the middle of nowhere and i wasted too much time travelling in and out of Naples and too be honest this spoilt my weekend away. The information should be clearer that the hotel is not in the city centre as it implies it is 1km away not a train journey and a metro ride away! My reason was to visit Naples and Pompeii not spend a lot of time checking out the surburban rail network that is covered in graffiti but very cheap!

Nice hotel but in the middle of NOWHERE! Very unsafe area with NOTHING to do. Cabs are expensive to and from hotel as well.

We were most pleased with the accomodations and friendliness of the staff. Fabio in perticular was very helpful and gracious. The offered breakfast was in a very clean and inviting room with many fine offerings and well prepared espresse. a very good restaurant was just steps from the entrance in a somewhat hidden corner next to the parking area, also the small delibar had a decent offering. we were able to sit on the rooftop patio withsome wine and cheeses to quite the soul after a hectic day and befor a good meal at the mentioned restaurant
