This hotel was not close to the city center, but was close to tram stops. We were able to find free parking next to the building. There was an elevator and a full breakfast. We were happy with the hotelRead more and cost.Hide
Una Hotel Scandinavia is a former Radisson SAS hotel. Since Una overtook the hotel a couple of years agon nothing else happend than the name-change.
The rooms are OK but terrible worn out. Stains on theRead more carpet, Bed, Chairs.. It would need a refurbishment very soon !
Location is not really good.. you will need a taxi (10-18 €) to the city centre or bus/tram (1 €), bus/tram is cheap but quite complicated the first few times.
Some few nice bars and restaurants around the hotel (Absolut Ice Bar)
Hotel is often used by groups, so sometimes long quees at the reception.
Beware :
- single rooms are very very small !! no space for a suitcase..
always take a double !!
-tuesday and saturday is "market day", a nice market in front of the hotel.. but not easy to get there with car or taxi.

Our recent stay at the Una Hotel Scandanavia was at often times frustrating. The positives: The property was beautiful and clean. The room was well appointed and clean, but small- especially the bathroom.Read more The front desk staff was the best part about the hotel. They were young, enthusiastic, and very willing to help the traveler with limited Italian skills. The breafast buffet was plentiul and fresh. The location was semi-convenient to public transportation to the city centre and was in a nice neighborhood. The down side: The air conditioning was not working when we arrived on Saturday and would not be fixed until Monday. This was a problem because while we opened a window to cool things down, you had to listen to the cleanup
crew clean the street after the street market on Saturday. There is a
street market every Tuesday and Saturday which closes down the street
in front of the hotel. We thought this was fun and had no issues with
getting in and out of our hotel by taxi etc. There is limited access to the internet. It is not available in the rooms as we thought which
is suprising since a hotel in this price range usually attracts the business traveller (as was my husband who found this very frustrating). The water temperature in the shower was never quite right making showering in the small tub enclosure an adventure. On our last day, we returned at 5:30 pm. to find our room had not yet been cleaned. We were told the hotel had until 6:00 pm. to attend to the rooms. This was taken care of acceptably. While many of these things seem small, we were frustrated mostly at the fact that there would be problems at all in a room that cost upwards of $350.00 a night (luckily paid by an employer). I would have to think there may be better options out there for this price.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October 2006 .The hotel itself is very impressive and clean with a lovely well stocked buffet breakfast .It is well situated within walking distance ofRead more the Metro and the room was clean and comfortable .My only complaint concerns the staff ,although very efficient they lacked warmth and empathy .The staff at reception seemed happier standing talking than trying to help their customers .If you are looking for a hotel which is clean and central this one is for you .If however you want old world charm ,look elsewhere.

We reserved a 1pm check-in-time knowing that we were arriving in Milan in the morning. However the rooms were not ready at that time and we were told that they did not know when they were going to be ready.Read more I booked two twin rooms as I was travelling with a group of friends. At 3pm we were given rooms but they were doubles. When were complained we were told that there were no twin rooms ready and again they did not know when they would be ready. We took the rooms as we did not want to waste the whole day waiting around in foyer buying over-priced drinks at the bar.
The rooms were comfortable, decor somewhat "bling", and on the small side. The bathroom was cramped.
It was service with a scowl rather than a smile, but I found many of the restaurants and bars in Milan had similar levels of service. Perhaps it 's a Milanese thing!
At check-out the hotel's computers were down and they could not accept card payments. Some of my friends had to then search out the nearest bank to take out cash to pay the bill. Rather unnecessary I thought given that credit card details had been given when the rooms were booked.
There is a market out on the street on Saturdays and so it becomes very noisy and crowded, and taxis have to pull-up at the end of the street.
