We only spent 1 night at the Berna. However, the hotel was perfect, located close to the train station. It was very easy to walk to the Malpensa Express Bus the next morning for transportation to the airport. The bed was the best one we slept in during our visit in Italy. It was likesleeping on a cloud, with plenty of pillows. The rooms were all soundproff. It was like being alone in the hotel. The mini bar was completely complimentary, complete with water, soda and juices. There was an in room coffee pot for making your own coffee, complete with biscuits. The TV was a very nice plasma one. The breakfast was also the best buffet we have had in Italy with many different choices. Since we only spent a half day and evening we did not do any sightseeing.

Excellent hotel, we walked from the train station. Room delightful, with a 'fridge, one of the very few we encountered in Italy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful location. Excellent breakfast. Hotel caters for business people as well as tourist.

Knowledgeable and polite staff; multilingual staff; good breakfast buffet and coffee in the lobby available at most hours of the day. Wireless internet worked well. For simply checking electronic mail, there was one hour free wire internet and also a common computer station. I have stayed at several other hotels in this area and Berna is one of the better ones.

I always hated Milan until we found this hotel! Staying next to the railway station is never our first choice but for convenience on the last night of our Italian holiday we chose Hotel Berna and found it to be a great place to stay! It was so convenient to get downtown on the Metro and the staff were very accomodating and friendly. We got a recommendation for dinner near by which we also really enjoyed. The lobby had the feel of a house party when we came in from our meal that evening complete with children and adults all visting and having a great time...the breakfast the next morning was also terrific. I'm only glad that we didn't have to pay the rate shown within the room....booking through Venere.com saved us a bundle!

Spent one night here, before catching a shuttle to Malpensa the next morning. A truly good experience, they were so welcoming, room and hotel especially comfortable, I wish I'd arranged to spend an extra couple of days in Milan. I will go back. Loved the extras - free minibar full of soft drinks, sitting room off the lobby with free tea, coffee & snacks, pillow chocolates, huge breakfast. My only caveat: it is a longish walk to the Duomo center area, but fine for people who like walking. It took about 25 - 30 minutes, you go through a pretty park, it's a nice walk, only one section of it is traffic-noisy. Bed was super comfortable, room large and comfy. The street itself lacks charm, being mainly travellers' hotels. Some of the decor is a little funky, too (my bathroom had brown tiled walls with big yellow daisies). But if you don't care about high style in a hotel interior, you will have a good stay here. It's about a 2-minute walk to the central train station, really convenient for catching that shuttle or travelling on to another Italian city.

We had a wonderful stay at the Berna hotel. The location was perfect for using the metro and trains. The employees were very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel!! We will absolutely be staying there again! Catherine Strouse

It's a very good hotel with very nice rooms. They are a bit small but that's what one expects from a hotel in Europe. Good location near the Statione Centrale.

Hotel Berna was an excellent introduction to Milano and would be suitable for a range of different clients. The breakfast alone would make your stay memorable!

Hotel Berna is in a very convenient location, not far from the train station. Using the airport shuttle bus from Malpensa was easy and the walk to Hotel Berna took five minutes. The surroundings near the hotel are the only negative we experienced. This part of Milan is not frequented by police, it appears, and as a result there are unsavory characters roaming about in the area. We kept our eyes open and had no problems, but the visual effect was unpleasant. Once we entered the hotel, however, it was a new world. Everything was perfect, just what we needed after a long journey.

We stayed in a triple room for three nights. The room and service were excellent. It is only about a three-minute walk from the central train station so it is very convenient.

The hotel is in a great location,close to the main train ststion which left it really easy to get around milan.The staff were very helpfull especially Max the bar man who went out of his way all the time to help our group.The next time i am in milan i will be staying in this hotel.
