The staff at the National is one of the best Hotel Staff I've ever encountered. Towels were replenished more than regularly and the friendly welcoming atmosphere was delightful. I will return to the National very soon and I will recommend this Hotel to anyone who will be visiting South Beach.

The National Hotel is fabouous located right on the beach. We booked a Cabana Room which overlooked the pool area which I would strongly recommend. Both pools are amazing and water floats were provided free (like a lilo but better). The drinks and meals at poolside area were expensive and all bills included 18% service charge and therefore did not allow you to choose your own tip amount. The room was very clean and bed was extremely confortable. Bad points: $12.43 charge per day for internet access (only for a laptop), local calls, newspaper and a few other things which you would never use. No option not to pay this daily charge even though you use none of the things included! Valet parking: $30/night- too expensive not to mention the tips given to the Valet to drive your car back from the carpark located 15 mins away from the hotel! Don't get me started on the ridiculous tipping/gratuity culture in America! Otherwise we did have a fabulous holiday and the National is well situated.
