We had the misfortune to stay in this hotel when hurricane Wilma was hitting Miami. This in itself was not that bad if only the hotel staff would have been a bit more helpful, service-minded and prepared to assist the guests who were stuck in the hotel without water, food, electricity and phone connections. I was really appalled by their total lack of interest and willingness to be of any assistance. They could not provide us with any bottled water, even though the tap water was not safe anymore and all shops were closed, and in the evening, although it was promised during the day, no flash lights were provided either to the guests which meant that everyone had to stay in total darkness as of 6 pm in the evening. The hurricane itself was an interesting experience but the stay in the hotel was a very bad one which I do not want to repeat ever again.
