The stylish and modern Vincci Centrum Hotel is in a 17th-century building with a stunning façade. Opened in 2004, the Centrum welcomes a mainly professional clientele during the week, and Spanish design enthusiasts and tourists at the weekend. Dark wood detailing, warm orange-toned lighting, silk wall hangings, candles and Asian decorative objects, combined with ambient music in the lobby, create a relaxing and intimate setting.
The hotel offers 87 air-conditioned, contemporary guestrooms decorated with modern art prints, vases full of silk lilies, dark wood flooring, crisp white linen and throw cushions. A buffet breakfast is served daily in the cafeteria, which also sells light meals, sandwiches, snacks and pastries. No on-site restaurant, but a variety of places to eat can be found nearby.
The ideal location of the Vincci Centrum makes it a perfect base for exploring sites like the Puerta del Sol, the bars of Plaza Santa Ana and lively Plaza Mayor, all just a few minutes' walk away. Guests are also less than a kilometer (half a mile) from the 'Art Triangle', Madrid's three major museums - the El Prado, Reina Sofía modern art museum (home to several great 20th-century works including Picasso's Guernica) and the contemporary Thyssen Bornemitza.

The bathroom was dirty and I found a dusty chair there, the hygiene condition was so bad that I have never imagined this would ever happen in a 4-stars hotel. Only one computer with internet access is available for all the hotel guests. A metro station is within 3 minutes walk, and it's quite convenient to visit most of the tourist spots. However, the rooms did not have much view. If you really want to stay in this hotel, remember to ask for a room which is not situated next to a staircase!

Generally very good in terms of service, and location couldn''t be better. However, the room (which was supposed to be a superior room, was small, and the views from the terrace ar certainly not fantastic. Everything well designed, but annoyingly they didn''t have enough cables for their internet access. So don''t rely on that.
