The stunning Vincci Capitol is located on Madrid's famous Gran Vía in the heart of the city. Fully renovated in 2007, this property has conserved its original, historical façade but features resolutely modern designer interiors. Thanks to this 'facelift', the Vincci Capitol offers the most modern, quality accommodations on the Gran Vía.
Its 140 guestrooms and 2 suites are roomy and feature a modern décor. There is an on-site spa and massage service to enjoy. A full buffet breakfast is served in the Reims Bar, a perfect spot to have a drink or coffee while taking in the wonderful view of Madrid. While there is no on-site restaurant, reception staff can recommend one of several excellent places nearby.
The Vincci Capitol is in the commercial heart of Madrid near the 'Art Triangle' formed by the El Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen Bornemitza museums. Madrid's lively Puerta del Sol district is a five-minute walk from the front door, and Plaza Mayor is also close. Tickets for the day tour bus, which picks you up a few meters from the hotel and takes you to all of the city's major streets and monuments, can be purchased at reception.

I was very pleased with my 5 night stay in the hotel. It is a handsome building in an ideal location, has a decent breakfast, and my room was adequate in size. My only complaints would be that the elevators are quite slow (perhaps that is typical), and the bathroom amenities were a bit sparse. It is right above the Callao metro stop, requiring 2 transfers on the metro from the airport.
