This hotel is in a very convenient location just off Gran Via, however it was in a red light area which if I had known would have caused me to look for a different hotel as I was travelling alone with my 7yr old daughter. Having said that we didn't encounter any problems and the hotel was more than adequate. I found the reception staff very helpful and friendly.

Great location a few paces away from Gran Via. Reception was helpfull and doorman was also a great character. Breakfast varied and good. Room had a totally FREE mini bar replenished daily! The only hitch was that construction works on a sight adjacent to the rear of the Hotelare underway and my room was overlooking this. Workmen started shifting heavy equipment 7.30 in the morning. A shame really

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. English not widely spoken amongst the staff, but that does not detract from their friendliness. Twin room was a good size, with a nice power shower en suite. Choice of breakfast options is good too. Recommended and I would have no doubts about staying there again.

It is a surprise to find such a nice clean hotel in what looks like a rather shabby street. The hotel is well located with a short walk to most sights and has friendly staff who speak English

Very pleasant stay in the Sieteislas Hotel. Well located for walking to all visitor attractions and handy for Metro. In side street just off Gran Via so were able to escape the noise and bustle of the crowds even though building work going on next door. This didn't bother us as work finished at 7 in the evening and they didn't work at the weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast great.

The Hotel was in a great location in a quiet street off the Gran Via. It's very easy to get to from the airport using the Metro and to walk to most of the majr sites & shopping. It was very clean and the breakfast was great. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming. Only porblem was the size of the twin room, with the relatively small beds squeezed together, but ok if you are spending most of your time out on the town

Excellent value for money and fantastic location, just off Gran Via. Get all your shopping done on the street just parallel to the hotel. Could ask for nothing more.

Good 4* hotel in centre of Madrid though the street it is on is not as upmarket. No negative points about the hotel.

Top class rooms. Great location just off Gran Via and easy to walk/train anywhere - excellent shops all around. Very nice breakfast. A big of red light activity around the area but nothing of major concern. Note : demolition site behind hotel in mid 2006 - disrupted siesta somewhat !
