Very nice hotel, 100m from the central Plaza Puera del Sol on walking distance of a lot of other beautiful places. We were there for a weekend with 4 friends (1 room!) and the hotel was an excellent base for the day and nightlife. Metrostation is in front of the hotel (Sevilla).

Fantastic location - front door literally at the top of the steps of Sevilla metro station and also within easy walking distance of Puerta del Sol and many of the major landmarks. Only problem we were given the first night had no air-conditioning whatsoever and no air even with windows open (it didn't open onto the street or a side alley). When we asked to be changed it was done quickly and with no problems. One member of staff at desk wasn't good but the others over the three days were helpful. Breakfast excellent. Value for money on the rate we got (€85 per night for a double) was great.

Very well located. We had 3 rooms that varied in size. The best of which had a balcony that overlooked a side street. Breakfast was plentiful, included in the price and was served up until 11am, which was handy! Usual spanish rules of 4* = 3* but if you're aware of that, a good hotel at a good price.

This hotel is within yards of the Sevilla Metro station and is amongst shops, cafes and restaurants. The position is therefore excellent. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel internally, while our double room was of good size. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. There was much to eat and drink at breakfast which helpfully extended from 7 to 11 am. For the passing guest the lack of variety would not be a problem, but we stayed 5 nights and there was no change to the food on offer fron Day 1. The hotel within was very quiet at night but outside at the back there were some loud noises from the street. Having said that we were so tired it mattered not as the beds were comfortable and both myself and my son just slept through each night. The male staff, porters excluded, could do with some training on how to smile more to guests and communicate better. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. 'Hot' buffet breakfast was limited - the hot items on display did not retain their heat very well. There was no general information pack in the room, and no instructions on how to work the air conditioning and no key for the mini bar. The room was either not particularly soundproof or we were in a noisy location. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay! The maid service was very good.

Location is very good as hotel is centrally located with only ~5 minutes from Puerto Del Sol. We had a triple room very clean with sparkling marble bathroom. A/C worked well, room quiet away from main road traffic, prices were very good (with discount through Internet reservation). Included breakfast was good although the bacon was a little soggy and should be fried more crispy.

Very friendly and extremely helpful service from all staff were the hallmarks of our stay. The concierge service was absolutely charming and couldn't do enough to help. The bedrooms could do with a little bit of attention however and the bed was not the most comfortable. We would stay there again definitely and the Hotel Regina's location is quite perfect for cultural and social activities in Madrid. It is also a very lively and bustling cafe/restaurant, popular with Madridlenos, which added to our enjoyent of staying there.

on our first night we stayed in one of the older rooms, which was small and in need of some work. asked to change to one of the newer rooms (which I had specified originally). So the second day we were changed to the newer room. Amazing! what a difference, it was like moving from a 2* to a 3/4*. room had plenty of space and was in top condition. Price and location are the best tthings about this hotel. Make sure you get a new room and your onto a good thing. breakfast was not great even by continental breakfasts standards. overall would stay here again. staff were helpful with queries.
