I was thoroughly pleased with this hotel. European hotels typically have small rooms and bathrooms due to their limited space for development. This room was adequate for my 2 teenage sons and I to fit and the bathroom was large enough for us all to stand in front of the mirror in the morning! The room quote was to sleep 3. It did, however this was 3 twin beds pushed together. It was like sleeping bags side by side-camping in comfort! The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The AC was quiet and efficient for the hot August days. The internet connection was great. The bathroom balcony was a treat to open to the pedestrian filled streets below. The bathroom toiletries were lacking- soap, shampoo, comb only. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Our room had no bath but the shower and bidet were high tech and had ample hot water. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They spoke English well and went beyond their duties to help us call and retrieve our lost luggage from the airport. There is only one evaluator which is charmingly antiquated. The best thing about this hotel was the location. Although there are other La Petit hotels nearby this one was the best location. It is just a couple of blocks from the Puerta del Sol plaza, surrounded by shopping areas and restaurants and the wonderful buzz of people walking around and musicians on the corners. Even in the midst of this popular area, the hotel is on a quieter street which keeps the noise down. The location is very safe and very near the main subway stop for all of Madrid so catching any line was easy. Being a popular area for upscale locals and tourist, it was a bit more expensive to eat and shop than in other areas of the city. However, you could find little local places to patronize if you looked for them (our favorite just a block away was La Farola). Several blocks away is the Plaza Mayor where friends congregate nightly for tapas, music and vino. A must do. The Plaza Santa Ana also

We were very happy with this hotel.It is very well placed in Madrid.We thought the breakfast was good value, and had a good selection. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

The location was excellent, the room was tiny & no window. Try to get a room looking onto the street, these have a tiny balcony but are still very ,very small.The staff were very helpfull & competent & there was a good breakfast available, with plenty of good restaurents close by.

Good place to stay in the middle of town near to metro. You can reach lots of public places just walking there. The double room was big enough. The breakfast served on the fifth floor was quite good for 8 Euros per person (normally 12 Euros). This was the second time I stayed here and I would stay here again.

the first room we had was like an almost clean dormitory room with a window on the back utility court. They were nice about moving us, and the second room was much nicer, but still more cheaply and carelessly finished and furnished than other 3 star hotels we visited. the staff was very nice, however and the location is great.

3 people in a small triple/family room. great area, everything on walking distance. some problems to reach the hotel because road works and pedestrian area. they gave us an internal room because the rate booking with venere was lower than the official rates of the hotel. Internet access in the dining room was not working.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Madrid in Puerta Del Sol. A three star hotel very clean and comfortable.The rooms were cleaned and the sheets changed daily.Although there is a lot of roadworks close to the hotel the excellent soundproofing ensured we were not disturbed by the noise.The hotel is excellent for short breaks or business trips.Breakfast can be taken in the hotel but other meals are not catered for. However there are a multitude of fine cafes resteraunts and bars within yards of the hotel. We found the hotel a great base for us to explore the city and would not hesitate to stay there again.
