Average room, good breakfast with plenty of choice and excellent service from the Concierge desk. The location is good, with most tourist sights and shops in easy walking distance. As a package it was good value for the price. Recommended.

The staff were very efficient but not very friendly! They gave no useful help about buses or attractions available in Madrid. Most of them looked very miserable.

Our room #106 was not good enough for 4 stars: very small, an old dirty rug, old furnitures, no convinient cabin for the clothes, no room for the bags and the safe box was not safe at all. The old huge key of the room that we needed to give and take every time. We saw much better rooms in this hotel for the same price. The breakfast was very good.

Hi im am very pleased to stay at Mayorazgo Hotel Madrid. The staff was proffessional, the room was good, and it was very well cleaned. The location is very sentral and we all hoped that we can stay there another time.

Stayed at this hotel 14th to 16th September 06. We were a party of 10. The staff were very helpful no problems there. The location was really great we were able to walk to the sites easily. We took an open top bus which stopped just around the corner. The hotel itself - well the bedrooms are a bit tired looking but were clean we had no view but that never worries us whilst in a city. We had no trouble with noise very quiet in fact. Breakfast was OK nothing fantastic. We had a great time there because for our party location is key.

It wasn't posssible to use the safetybox in the room because the hotel didn't have a key for it, so we had to use the safetybox in the reception.

Breakfast was not good, The coffee and Juices where terrible. Bathrooms really old fashioned. Terras very dirty with full ashtrays!!!! I would not go back there. Front desk staff not very polite.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with this hotel. Very centrally located, excellent breakfast and helpful stuff. It lies almost on Gran Via Avenue and Plaza de Espana Metro station is like 2 minutes away. The only disadvantage is that it is kind of old but fully renovated. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very well located just off the Gran Via and near the Plaza de Espana Metro station. All the main sites were within walking distance such as the Palace, Plaza Mayor and the Sol area. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was reasonable, I would however say that this is a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star; it may have been 4 stars in the 70's but not now, as it needs some modernising. Although for around £56 a night you cannot complain and when I go back to Madrid I'd be happy to stay there again.

Walls separating rooms definitely not soundproofed. Breakfast exceptionally good.
