The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. it is more of a 2 star hotel, must be a 4 star for spain. The staff: some were friendly and some were very rude. The hotel was ok, it was not what i had envisioned.

We were satisfied with friendly hotel staff and a good choice at the breakfast. Also connection to the city centre by Metro was very convenient.

Definetly not a 4 stars hotel. The rooms are very old, poorly lighted, noisy. The bathroom is very small and the bath/shower seems to be 20 or 30 years old... The location is superb, very near everything in North Madrid, just over the metro and train station (Chamartin). The breafast is very good. Plenty of choice.

Diffident but helpful staff, though the concept of concierge does not exist here. Asking them to help schedule a restaurant reservation seemed to be asking to part the Red Sea without the benefit of being Moses. The breakfast included in the room rate was quite good. Though it is located next to a major train and metro terminal, it was very quiet. I would stay here again, but it was not a high point of the trip.

This hotel is basically part of the Chamartin train station, and is great if you have an early train to catch, which I had, or a late train into Madrid and an early plane to catch the next morning, since there are plenty of taxis that can take you to the Barajas. The Metro is located on the West side of the station, and down some stairs, so you can go anywhere you want to in Madrid. If you are going to stay in Madrid for a few days, I would advise that you stay at a hotel near the city center, since there is little to do near the train station. The taxi fare to or from the airport is about 20 Euros.
