We felt that, considering the amount of money we paid for our room, that it was very small and the bathroom was quite ordinary without bathrobes or many of the disposable products which were standard in the Paradores where we stayed.

I liked a lot to stay in Ritz Hotel Madrid, the facilities and location were great, everything that you would want. Nevertheless, the service and breakfast was not rated the same as the rest. For me for a 5 start hotel, I was expecting more. I have been in 4 star hotels that are not as luxurious but the food and service is better.

A stunning hotel with all the grandeur of the early 20 century and the facilities of the 21st. Linen as it should be - very white and very crisp - a pleasure to sleep on or eat off! Staff are warm, welcoming and very helpful.

Very much an old dame hotel. Fantastic service and quality. Rooms need some work at this price level and facilities e.g. gym not up to modern standards. Superb location if art galleries are one's interest!

The only slight hiccup was the renovations. One evening the front door was being removed at 1.30am and banging continued through out the night. Unfortunatley we were the bedrooms above. But luckily we were all fairly tired and eventually slept. I guess there was not a lot the management could do except shut the premises and then where would we have stayed!!!

Asked for a deluxe non smoking not sure if I got it as room looked into an interior courtyard as was near the lift shaft -noisy. Foyer was being done up when we were there, should be lovely when finished. Staff made up for all this, very charming, great concierge service, any reservation you want any where. Food is excellent.
