Avoid at all costs! Hotel accepts bookings from large groups of students ! Management non-receptive to any complaints about noise and bad behaviour in corridors and adjacent rooms! Noise did not die down until 04.30 hrs .Double glazed windows on 6th floor but still heard everything happening in street.Decided to have breakfast elsewhere as we could not bear to stay in hotel another minute.Also 14 euros to park car in garage per night! Avoid !!

Be careful if you're booking a single room.........apparently all of these rooms face the back ....your window opens on to a wall of some other building which you can virtually touch.....very claustrophobic. I had to pay extra for a double room to be able to get a room in which I could breathe.......this at least had a window which looked out on the street.

As with most accommodation in Madrid, space is at a premium and the room was quite small. The view out the window was a drab courtyard. The rooms were clean and reasonably presented. The location´s very good, right next to the Puerta de Toledo station. A word of warning - if catching a train from Chamartin Station, allow 50 mins to get there from the hotel! Overall a well positioned and friendly and good value hotel.

the hotel is very well located and service excellent. BUT my room's window was on the "inside" court of the hotel so I could hear anybody talking. Beside, I HAD to let my window open all the time because it was reallly hot in my room and the air conditioning only starts in May. As a result, I almost did not sleep at all during the 2 nights.

Convenient hotel because it is right on the subway line - for an authentic tapa experience, try the bar right across the street Be sure to know the basics in spanish of how to ask for tapas in bars instead of raciones - if you order tapas, which are smaller portions, you can sample different types of spanish food Don't go to bars close to the Calle Mayor, as they are touristy and expensive - for an authentic experience, try to find one off the beaten path by going down side streets. I don't quite remember, but I think a good place to find authentic tapas bars was the Alonso Martinez stop on the subway line. There you will find places where they also give you "pinchos" with the beer you order - these are sample-sized portions of the tapas. Very fun!
