This hostal is located quite near the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor yet is quite quiet compared to other hostals in the area. Lots of good restaurants, museums, etc. nearby, making it a good choice.

Clean but small rooms. The location is perfect for visiting Madrid. Although the staff is fair the price is a little bit expensive for the accomodation offered

Well, it was pretty ok for this price but during all my staying there was a reparation of the hostel, so you can imagine this loud noise like dzzzzzzz since 8am till 01am.. impossible to have some rest there.. + the smell of paint 'cause the reparation of the rooms was in process... the best thing was it's location - in the heart of the city..

It was really easy to find Mirentxu as it had been explained at Venere. From T4 we went directly to our metro station and it took about 7-9 minutes to find the hostal. We paid Visa without any problem. The reciept for 1 night of stay that was charged after reservation was received upon arrival immidiately. We had cleaning of the room everyday. No complains about cleanliness. The building that the hostal situated in is very old (antic), but we noticed that everything has beem repaired not so lon time ago. Our room was very simple as on a pictute at Venere: bed, wardrobe, couple of chairs, table, TV and small "bathroom". 1 problem is about doors. There are very old and through them you can hear everything that is going on in a corridor. The situation is very good as I said before. It very close to metro (for 3 days we used it only once) and to museum quarter. Breakfast is for additional 3 euro (toasts with tea/coffee) Staying at this hostal costs money you pay for sure.

Excellent place but a bit difficult to find...please someone update the map!!!! The toilet+bath was a bit too small but extremely clean.

Hotel was simple but welcoming! Staff were very nice and managed to get by with a mix of basic Spanish and English. (I'd never spoken Spanish before and managed, they were that good!) Only problem that I had was that on the internet the room was shown as ensuite and this wasn't the case, but apart from that it was a very agreable place to stay and very handy for the city centre! I would stay there again.
