Rooms on the small side, although bed very comfortable. Rooms quite dark with brown ceiling and dark wood laminated floor, although plenty of use of mirrors to give the effect that the room was bigger. Would have like some drawers as well as shelves for storage. Excellent shower and breakfast, although there were not enough tables available at times. Excellent location and helpful staff.

We went out on our first evening to find a restaurant. Walking down Gran Via at around 21.30 we felt intimidated by the number of groups of men of Eastern European origin. We were approached for money by numerous beggars and were struck by the lack of couples such as ourselves. We found a restaurant but the evening had been spoiled and we would not recommend staying in this area. We used taxis for the rest of our stay.

As the name suggests, this is a high tech hotel - very modern. We booked a triple room and the room was very large. Main bed was HUGE, and the single bed very comfortable. Had 24 hrs access to the internet - which is great if you are travelling for many weeks and need to contact family or friends. All rooms come standard with hydromassage - but ours did not function. Breakfast was also fantastic and travelling with a 14 year old - this was good for him too.

Rooms a little cramped, but this is outweighed by the good central location and competitive price. Good buffet breakfast - much better than many Spanish hotels. Free internet access in lobby is a nice extra.

The location is fantastic and really close to Gran Via. The hotel really exceeded our expectations, the breakfast was really good, the rooms very nice and spacious and the staff very friendly. I definitely recommend it.

The location is very central and the breakfast is good. Other than these, it is just an average hotel. There are many other hotels in the same area. Compare the price before booking.

Our room was a bit disappointing -- barely furnished and badly in need of repainting. The staff did a good job cleaning the room, but the hallway wasn't exactly pristine. Front desk staff were really helpful and kind and the breakfast is outstanding. Location -- just off the Gran Avenida -- is convenient; however, a variety of shady characters (including prostitutes) frequents the area at night.

Good choice for families of four: bunk beds in some rooms. Many rooms are small; best choice are corner rooms which are quite large. Free internet access and a large self-service breakfast are pluses. Very quiet, as double windows block outside noise. Hotel service is very helpful. Hotel pictures on web site are dated and hotel could certainly use new carpet.

We stayed at this Hotel at Easter 2004 and were very happy with our choice. Although rooms are on the small side, you have to take into account that the hotel is in a prime spot - an excellent location for weekend tourists. The breakfasts are outstanding - excellent choice of hot and cold food, including Tortilla (what a way to start the day whilst in Madrid!) I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - in fact we are hoping to go back again. J & K Burt United Kingdom

A friendly, centraly located and modern (retro) hotel with basic facilities but great for shorts tays or long weekends. Family friendly and very helpful staff.
