V de la R is very well located in the centre of Madrid literally two steps from the Metro, welcoming foyer and friendly helpful staff. room very comfortable (although I would have appreciated a chair) with useful details such as shoeshine kit, dental kit etc. excellent shower, which is very important to me. the one criticism i have is that although the bar is a 'non smoking' area, smoking is allowed at the tables served by the bar and is very uncomfortable for non smokers. but this is a problem all over Spain. a very pleasant stay otherwise. thank you

First room was very small but they were accomodating and moved us into a bigger room for our last three nights. The location is superb. This was my second stay at the hotel and I would stay there again.

excellent location if you want to be in the real city center. fair service, friendly staff, good value for price. perfect breakfast. stayed there for the 2nd time already and will choose the same if again in madrid.

Nice design, great location, but lacking service during breakfast and worst of all had a single with windows only opening to interior court yard. Room was steaming hot (in APRIL!) and the air con didn't function. Hotel staff was unable to help and no other room was available. This

Overall, a most enjoyable stay at the Hotel; terrific value for money and well located for access to the key tourist attractions in Madrid. Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent.

Larger hotel that might during the week cater to more business clientele. We were there on a Friday night, and we had a signficantly discounted rate, that to our surprise included what would have normally been a 14 Euro per person breakfast (which was very, very complete). Gran Via is a good central location from which to see the sights. We were a bit surprised to see ladies of the evening within a few blocks of the hotel, but they, the crowds, some entertainers and many police seemed to peacefully co-exist.

Second time at La reina Hotel Madrid was not what we expected, the room and bathroom were very small. There was no place to sit in the room only on the beds, no chairs. The staff at the front desk were frindly and helpful and the breakfast was o.k
