Excellent service and location. The rooms could be a bit bigger but I think we traded the size of the room for a quiter room in the back of the building.

Lovely hotel with clean and very comfortable bedrooms. Great big bathrooms too! Fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Good bar if you felt like a night cap! Best of all the location - sight seeing bus (hop-on hop-off) leaves from practically outside the door! Across the road from the Prado Museum. Would highly recommend.

While we were completely satisfied with the hotel location, accomodation and breakfast we were dissapointed with the quality and value of the adjoining Brasserie when we had a light lunch there.

This hotel is wild! Very exotic decor and furnishings. Rooms a bit small, but it makes up for it in style. Great location, yet the rooms were quiet. Fabulous breakfast too.

A lovely hotel. Not very large - a boutique feel about it. The position - opposite the Prado is wonderful, and I can't let an opportunity pass without mentioning the hotel's carpet, which is the softest, thickest carpet I've ever encountered in a hotel. We enjoyed our stay there immensely.

The only criticism would be that the satellite TV didn't work, but then I didn't go there to watch the TV

Truly stunning decoration with period detail in the communal areas and sumptuous bedrooms. Just across the road from the Prado. A real bargain.

Hotel is hugely understaffed. There was noone at the reception desk for over 10mn when we arrived and a queue of 4 arriving customers had formed. Noone either manning room service at 9.00pm in the evening: after trying to reach them non-stop for 45mn and getting no reply, I eventually decided to go out for dinner. I had to change room because the door did not lock. The TV antenna was broken, with the results that most foreign channels did not work, and the shower knob stayed in my hand.

An excellent hotel and a first class stay. When winter pricing was applied, it was extremely good value for money.

Excellent hotel and location, only problem was that room was twin not double, even though I had booked a double. When I tried to change they said they only had a few doubles and that they were all booked.

A fantastic base for a wonderful city. Hotel was amazingly good value for money. Staff were so helpful, breakfast was a huge buffet style with freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit, selction of cold meats, cheese, pastries, it went on and on! The room was pure luxury, enormous bathroom and even slippers and robes. Location was excellent as well, right opposite the Prado museum. If you are going to Madrid this hotel is a must!

Only problem was that the Breakfast Area was too small - had to queue on both mornings to enter the seating area.
