We were very pleased with this hotel. A quiet, spacious room with a large balcony on the backside and the hotel lobby on the Gran Via make a wonderful combination. The breakfast buffet was a royal treat.

Rooms are too small. Breakfast is superb. Fitness don't deserve the word. I will not stay there ever.

I do not think that the price covers the level of the service in this hotel. My understanding that it is in the state of the long lasting restoration, so it is not very convinient to stay there enjoying this process.

Stayed in the hotel in February.The room was almost unbearably hot. When I pointed out that the air codioning only blew out hot air when set on cool I was told it would still pump out hot air .I was told to switch it off which did nothing towards cooling the room.This would put me off using this hotel again at that time of year which is a shame given its v good location etc.

Staff very helpful. However, regarding breakfast, hot food was always cold and the coffee/tea were cold on the four mornings I eat there. We always had to ask for hot tea/coffee. The sauna and jacussi were also cold. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel as a central location.

Overall good value. Rooms are a good size and clean to a good standard. Staff very helpful. Location about 10 mins walk from the main centre and close to the Metro.

The receptions desk was not very helpful. The movie service was not workning. Waiting time at the breakfast buffet, even if seval table was free, but not clean.

Fantastic choice at breakfast; very pleasant staff with good English. Our room was very quiet indeed. Location is perfect for sightseeing - we will choose this hotel for our next visit to Madrid.

We had a very spacious room for three people with balcony overlooking Gran Via. The breakfasts are lavish with lots of fresh fruit, cold hams, cheeses, or hot eggs, sausages,etc. Big cake and pastries too if you fancy them. Very convenient, especially for the art museums. Only annoying thing is that you have to pay extra to use the safes in the rooms.

The breakfast times were up to 10.30am and we like to eat lateish but on all occassions from 9.30 on the warm food was awful. Eggs were stone cold, bacon run out, no Orange juice on two days out of four, scambled eggs a mush and No orange juice in SPAIN?? two occassions dining area full. Most of the facilities appeared to be unattended or locked.

Excellent location. Fabulous breakfast. Evening meal choice was limited but there are plenty of very good and very reasonable restaurants nearby. Staff were efficient and polite.
