The lady at reception was very helpful and kind. But the bed was horrible, small, old and made lot of noise. I didn't dare to turn my body in order not to wake up my husband. For honey mooners like us are really not ideal.

The hotel is noisy due to the fact that the funiculaire runs underneath your window from early morning until at least midnight.

The italians (although swiss nationals).. I consider them italians as they seem to only speak italians were not very friendly (especially the lady with the blonde wavy hair with a sour look on her face). She was not helpful and did not want to deal with us. I would not stay here again. The room faced the busy streets even though I specifically requested a room away from the noise. It was extremely noisy because of the festivals going on.

It is too expensive for a 3 star hotel. Although it is located quite nicely in the center but it is quite noisy because of the fenicular, especially if we stay in a room on the 1st or 2nd floor. Breakfast is very poor, needs more variaty.

The funicular railway didn't affect me at all - had a great view of the thing running through the hotel, but only felt a slight rumble, and heard nothing until the windows were open.

Hotel is very convenient to the railway in Lugano being connected to the station by the funicular. We were on the 4th floor so we were not affected by the noise of the funicular. Hotel is over an outdoor cafe which is a bit noisy but the convenience makes up for it. Reception spoke good english and were very helpful. The decor is very brown and oldstyle but the room was very clean with all the essentials. Hotel is also within easy walking distance of the Lugano downtown lakefront with good restaurants and shops.

We chose this hotel on the basis of its central location within the town and ease to get to from the station. In this respect this hotel lived up to our expectations. Because we had heard that there were problems with the noise from the funicular passing through the centre of the building, we asked for a room as far away as possible. However the rumble could still be heard and felt. We were disappointed to find that our room was not ready on our arrival despite arriving after check-in time. The staff were sympathetic but unaccomodating. We appreciated being able to store luggage after checkout.

The hotel's location is very nice and it is very convenient for us to any other visit points from it. However, as the train is nearby, it is a little bit noisy. In summer, the room is hot; fortunately, the hotel prepared a e-fan for us which is nice. Thank you.
